Close Friend in Hospice Care for Multiple Myeloma! Help Needed.
Hello to all friends, family, and other beautiful souls. I never post things publicly, but I'm doing so this time so you can forward it to anyone you feel should receive it.
Two of my dearest friends are going through the worst that life can throw. Tammy Miller, a truly wonderful human being and deeply caring soul, just left the hospital after many weeks. She's moved back home for hospice. She has months at most. She has multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer) that has spread extensively. She's already been through major surgery and treatment, but things are at the hospice stage. Their insurance doesn't cover inpatient hospice, and the hospice caregivers only come a few times each week. She's on a hospital bed in their apartment living room with a pump for the horrible pain.
Her awesome husband, Scott Miller, who has been one of my closest friends since seventh grade, has had to completely stop working to care for her and is on FMLA, but is out of paid leave or PTO, so all income has completely ceased. They are aware I am doing this GoFundMe, but are humbled by its necessity.
Any contribution you can make, even $5 or $10, would be deeply appreciated and helpful. They need us as a community of caring people to help in this tragic situation.
Financial strain should be the least of their worries, but they literally need help for the basics like rent, utilities, and food, besides all the medical copays, etc.
Thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
