<div>
 Hello, my name is Emma.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I am a 51-year-old, disabled transgender woman with autism and ADHD. I'm also an artist and professional designer.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>I have recently learned that I am losing my apartment at the end of my lease term in December.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I am unemployed, am not receiving any financial assistance, and despite my exhaustive job search, have not found viable job opportunities anywhere. I fear this is because of my status as a transgender woman in the current social and political landscape, and because my field has been decimated by AI.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I am hustling where possible, but this is difficult due to physical impairment and mental health struggles. Yet, despite these obstacles, I have somehow been limping month to month.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>However, I have learned my lease is not being renewed, and I run the risk of homelessness if I cannot secure housing.</strong> I was homeless for 3 months last year before securing this apartment, and I was not anticipating having to leave. Unfortunately, due to my roommate creating an incredibly unhealthy and toxic living environment, I am being forced to leave.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>This fundraiser is specifically to raise money to cover my first, last, and security deposit, and hopefully more, in a new apartment/living arrangement.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you.

Help Emma secure safe housing

<div>I'm Ann Thomas, and I've worked for 8 years in the film and TV industry in the Los Angeles area. Mostly what I've focused on is talent management, teaching performers (actors, voice actors, singers, musicians) how to prepare their materials to enable them to find work. Then, we find them agents if possible, and also match them with projects that they fit, where the folks in the business can't find people from our tiny underrepresented group.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm trying to help people get work, to help them be more productive members of society. Rather than charge them up front, we contract with them for a small percentage of their earnings once they get work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>First the pandemic brought the industry to it's knees. Then the strikes blocked almost everyone we work with from getting average paying jobs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During this time, with the help of a handful of awesome mentors, I've also worked on creating film and TV projects that would employ more than just one performer. These can't be shopped to the major studios until the strikes are both over. So far one, the writer's strike, has settled. We're still held up on the actor's strike. Hopefully that settles soon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The strikes have put me in the poor house. I've depleted all my resources, and need help paying the basic bills: power, gas, internet, rent, food, fuel - the essentials.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please donate to help keep me going with helping find and provide work for other people!
