Children of the 58 - Loved and Never Forgotten Fund is a fund established to provide college and trade school scholarships to the surviving children ages 21 and younger of the 58 people killed on 1 October, 2017 in the Las Vegas mass shooting. The fund is created by the family of Las Vegan Neysa Tonks, a successful technology professional and single mother of three sons who lost her life in this senseless tragedy. Neysa’s parents, Chris and Debbie Davis, and sister, Mynda Smith, have joined to establish the fund as a lasting legacy to Neysa, who did not attend college herself, and was passionate about ensuring her children studied hard, got good grades and put college in their plans. The family believes that inspiring the Children of the 58 to pursue higher education is a way for these children to honor their deceased parents and help them as they transition to adulthood and prepare for a career. Without this fund, some of these children may not have the ability to further their education after high school at all. For her family, this fund keeps Neysa’s dream alive in an even bigger way and is a powerful extension of her commitment to her own family. All proceeds from the fund, minus platform and processing fees, will be used to support the education of Children of the 58 victims. A committee established by the Nevada Community Foundation will oversee the fund. At least 55 children are currently eligible based on the following criteria: 1. The children had to be 21 years of age or younger on October 1, 2017. 2. The scholarship is intended for tuition only at an accredited college, university or trade school. This fund is distinct from the Las Vegas Victims Funds in that it is specifically intended as a scholarship for the identified children of the victims, not for the victim’s compensation or any other purpose. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be housed at the Nevada Community Foundation, a public charity established in 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in working with individuals, families and organizations to customize their philanthropic giving, EIN 88-0241420. Thank you for your donation.

Children of The 58

Families and friends uniting to support the families and friends of the victims in the senseless tragedy that took place October 1st in Las Vegas, NV. We will setting up 2 food trucks where families and friends of the victims are staying where they will be able to have free, hot meals. We will also be putting together bags filled with food, water, blankets and more! Our group has a direct connection with the wife of a Las Vegas Police Officer who is organizing help for these victims. After purchasing the supplies and the meals from the food trucks, we will donate the rest of the funds to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund. My name is Alli Luckadoo and I am from Wilmington, NC Our co-worker at Rodan+Fields, Michelle Hashagen, is a police wife and member of the Police Wives of America Organization, Las Vegas chapter. There were 4 victims within the police department that we are raising money to help, along with others in the hospital. We purchased food and supplies and we plan to help with medical bills and any other expenses that may come up. I am in touch with the treasurer of the Police Wives of America Organization, Rose, to have her withdraw the funds directly from Go Fund me into their account if that is possible! I would love guidance on this!! This is the first time I have worked with Go fund me and we just wanted a place to raise money for these innocent victims! Thank you so much for any insight you can give me!! Thank you so much Alli Luckadoo

Caring for the Victim's Families

For transparency here is some information about the organizers of this campaign: 1.  My name is Jessica Cassell and I am an organizer with Fightback, a non-profit social justice group. 2. I'm from Toronto, Canada where Fightback's national office is located 3.  My relationship to Max is that we are both members of Fightback, he is a friend and a comrade. 4. The money raised will be put in a legal defense fund set up by Fightback to help Max and other unjustly charged activists with their legal defense fees The campaign:  On the morning of Tuesday, October 22nd, our comrade Max  was arrested by plainclothes police officers in front of his home in Hamilton. His family was forced to watch as Max was placed in handcuffs and forced into the police cruiser. Max is being charged with intimidation and assault in relation to his participation at an anti-Bernier protest held in late September. At the time he was arrested and released with no charges, only to be formally charged a month later. Fightback Hamilton released a statement and video at the time, which clearly shows that Max is not guilty of these charges. You can read that statement here:  <a href="https://www.facebook.com/fightbackhamilton/posts/916429702045688" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/fightbackhamilton/posts/916429702045688</a> We believe this is a politically motivated attack. While several left-wing activists have been charged, no charges were laid against members of the far-right, despite video evidence of them attacking activists at the protest. The Hamilton police are attempting to set an example and intimidate the left and the broader labour movement to discourage us from organizing. As such, these charges must be opposed by the labour movement, left organizations, and the broader community. We are appealing for solidarity and support from the left and the labour movement. Max's legal fees will be significant and we must raise the funds to help him and his family cover the costs.  Please donate anything you can. If we raise more than enough to cover Max's legal expenses, Fightback will use the surplus to set up a legal defense fund for the movement and help other activists who have been persecuted by the Hamilton police. Please note that we cannot guarantee this and it is entirely dependent on our ability to raise above and beyond what is needed to cover Max's expenses, but we strongly believe that our greatest strength against these attacks is unity and hope we can raise enough to help another activist in need. An injury to one is an injury to all!

With this body of work I wanted to go back to the Civil Rights Movement (1954-1968); when African Americans were fighting for constitutional and legal rights that other Americans already had at the time. I particularly referenced protest signs from this era to spark a discussion of why they’re still relevant more than 50 years later. I want to show that far too often we look back at that time as if it was centuries ago, when in fact it’s a fight that’s ongoing. <a href="https://www.adesholamakinde.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Adeshola Makinde</a>  is an artist based in Chicago, Illinois. WE DEMAND AN END TO POLICE BRUTALITY NOW!

The community has been reaching out in support of Bree’s family and wanting to donate to the cause. First off, we are SO THANKFUL for EVERYONE standing up for justice and saying her name! We’re not stopping until we truly get justice! All of you are such a blessing! It’s amazing! Second of all, we are thankful for the offers for donations. My sister and niece are too proud to say it, but this is a tough fight and it does take a toll. They’re both hard workers and they’re missing out on some work (and sleep!) in this fight for justice. We do not expect anyone to donate to this cause; your voices are being heard and that alone is so powerful! But because of all the calls and the overwhelming generosity, I have set up this account for them. You all are a blessing. Thank you so much again for everything! And let’s keep this fight for justice going! #justiceforbre

<div>Helo my name is Bruno, and i have a very sad story to share about my country,
</div>
<div>In Memba, northern Mozambique, families are facing an urgent humanitarian crisis. Recent climate disasters and violent attacks have destroyed homes, schools, and community infrastructure, leaving thousands without shelter, education, or safety.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Our mission is to provide immediate relief and long-term recovery for those most affected. With your support, we will:
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Provide emergency shelter for displaced families.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Distribute food and clean water to communities cut off from basic supplies.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Rebuild temporary classrooms so children can continue their education.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Support trauma recovery through community-based psychosocial care.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the size, helps restore dignity and hope. Together, we can ensure that families in Meconta not only survive this crisis but begin to rebuild stronger, climate-resilient communities.
