I’m a single mother doing everything I can to keep my kids stable while rebuilding after long-term domestic abuse and ongoing post-separation abuse.
I’m raising $2,500 to cover urgent bills and basic necessities, not extras, so I can keep our household functioning while I navigate court and a housing crisis, and so my son can stay enrolled and succeed in his auto mechanics program.
Right now, I need help keeping the essentials in place: keeping the lights on, keeping my phone and car active, staying reachable for appointments and court, and having laundry and household basics in the house.
Since August, I’ve had to pause my home daycare. I’m connected with Community Connect, CareOregon’s Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) program, and a Domestic Violence Survivor Temporary Assistance (DVSTA) grant for relocation and stabilization support, but those resources don’t always move at the speed of a shutoff notice or a negative bank balance, and they don’t cover every immediate expense.
At the same time, I’m navigating multiple systems at once: criminal court (a no-contact order is in place), family court, and housing/eviction court during an ongoing safety-related housing crisis.
One urgent priority is supporting my son as he builds a stable career pathway he has worked hard to earn. He is 16 (almost 17), his birthday is next week, and he has successfully completed his first week in the auto mechanics program at our community college. He still needs required supplies and basic costs that come with staying in the program consistently and completing it.
What your support will help cover right now:
Car payment / transportation stability
Phone bill
Electric bill
Laundry
Household basics (toiletries, paper goods, cleaning supplies)
Food gap and necessities
Bringing my account out of the negative
Required program supplies/gear so my son can stay enrolled and complete his training
If it helps to choose an amount:
$10 = laundry or toiletries
$25 = household basics
$50 = groceries gap
$100 = required program supplies/gear
If you’re able to donate, thank you. If you can’t, sharing this fundraiser helps more than you think. I’ll post updates as things stabilize.
