Gilbert was a 41-year-old single father who bravely battled stage 4 colon cancer for over two years. Throughout his journey, he endured countless chemotherapy treatments, radiation, and surgeries, never giving up and always fighting with incredible strength. Despite the challenges, Gilbert remained a devoted father, brother, uncle, son, and friend, inspiring everyone around him with his resilience and love. On May 20th, 2026, Gilbert lost his battle with cancer. He leaves behind his 9-year-old daughter, Alina, who will grow up surrounded by love and cherished memories of her dad. Gilbert's unwavering dedication to his family and his positive spirit touched the lives of many, and his absence is deeply felt by all who knew him.
