Breckin Vann

Hey folks! My name is Breckin! I have been doing various mission work for more than a year now. This has consisted of attending a Discipleship Training School at the UofN (University of the Nations) in Niagara Falls. From there, a team and I went to Osaka, Japan, focusing on children's ministry, sharing love with those children, and providing physical support anywhere needed. After the blessing of a time in Niagara and Japan, I desired to go deeper in my ministry and pursue a higher-level school in counselling, learning practically and emotionally how to walk alongside others. However, I was in need of more funds before I could take this program, which would be in Lausanne, Switzerland, called Foundations in Counselling Ministry. Thankfully I was able to work a couple of jobs over several months to earn the ~$10,000 CAD I needed. This program was an opportunity to invest in learning the basics of Christian counselling. This consisted of discovering personal healing, transformation, and equipping myself to guide others through the same process. In addition to learning the art of conversation, the factors that shape human development, and to be a part of the healing in our broken world. My life now has been a quick transition from being in lectures in Switzerland to being back in Niagara Falls and staffing the very school I had been a part of! This consists of leading practical teachings for the students who are freshly learning about missions, walking in discipleship, and applying the counselling skills acquired in Switzerland. In addition, I manage the accounting for the classes, lead/facilitate community events, and teaching evangelism techniques to communities in Toronto, New York, and more! At the beginning of January I will be co-leading a mission's team to West Africa to a country called Guinea-Bissau. To make this journey possible, I am in need of financial support.
