Brandon has been fighting stage 4 oral cancer for about three years. The journey has been incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally. The chronic conditions the cancers caused have made it impossible for him to work. He has solely lived of the minimum disability income, Wich was manageable until his insurance change. He had 3/4ths of his tongue removed, and 136 lymph nodes removed from his neck. He has not been able to eat any food for over the last 3 years and has lost about 75 pounds. He has lost almost all his of his abiltity to taste and swallow, and has become anemic. His only food source is high calorie boost drinks. Recently his insurance changed from full coverage Medicaid to Medicare, which means we now have to pay 20% for co-pays, hospital visits, medications, physical therapy treatments, and his high calorie boost drinks. Along with partial payments of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. That were all previously fully covered making it impossible to manage the mounting medical expenses. The financial strain has become overwhelming. The cancer has spread from his tongue, to his right and left lung, right hip, pelvis and spine. He must undergo continuous chemotherapy weekly, radiation and physical therapy treatments. To keep his tumors from growing. Brandon and his family have been through so much in the last few years, and any support would mean the world to them. If it is in your heart to donate, you would be supporting an amazing person who has endured so much change in such a short amount of time. We do not exactly know how much money we are needing, because Brandons cancer has been diagnosed terminal and uncurable. We have been told this cancer will eventually kill him, but we still have faith. So truly any donation of any size is purely just a blessing to help relieve some of the stress of having to figure out how to come up with all the finances to pay for his medical treatments during this difficult season of our life. We are finding the victories in the little things, and remaining in faith. God bless you, and thank you for your support.
