What Burlington cares about

BPAPA is a 501(c)(3) parent-run nonprofit supporting Burlington’s rapidly growing performing arts programs through fundraising and community support.

  1. Thank you for visiting our Performing Arts GoFundMe! Your support means the world to us—and most importantly, it directly impacts the lives of students in the Burlington High School Performing Arts programs. Why Your Support Matters At BHS, the performing arts are more than just an extracurricular activity. From Marching Band, Orchestra, and Chorus to Chamber Singers, Winter Percussion, Guard, Stage Crew, school plays, musicals, and summer productions, these programs give students a stage to discover their voice, express themselves, and build lifelong skills like confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Our parent-run nonprofit, the Burlington Performing Arts Parents Association (BPAPA), is a 501(c)(3) organization and works hard every year to provide what the school’s budget can’t always cover. Our programs are thriving: our band has doubled in size, and our chorus and musical productions are growing as well. With this growth comes an increased need for funding to ensure that every student has access to these opportunities. This year, we are raising funds to: Provide financial assistance so students in need can attend a prestigious Festival in NYC April 2026. Offer scholarships for students pursuing the arts beyond high school. Continue supporting other essential program needs such as uniforms, instruments, costumes and workshops. Our Goal: $25,000 Every donation helps us keep our programs alive, accessible, and inspiring for all students. Your generosity ensures that our students can continue to grow, perform, and shine in the arts. Please consider donating today. Together, we can keep the music playing, the curtains rising, and the creativity flowing at Burlington High School. With heartfelt thanks, BPAPA Board of Directors Burlington Performing Arts Parents Association

With much heartfelt thanks, BPAPA Board of Directors Burlington Performing Arts Parents Association Teacher Testimonials: “The BHS music department is experiencing a large growth in its student population. Some of our groups are 4 times the size as last year. While this is incredible, it also comes with budget challenges to provide a meaningful, memorable, and equitable experience for all. Last winter we were not able to compete with pride wearing a uniform like the rest of the ensembles, and did not have the equipment needed to provide an equitable educational experience. Your donation will be used for much needed uniforms, and equipment. ALL high school students should be provided with opportunities that fit their interests that foster a sense of belonging and community, and provide an experience they deserve while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Your donation helps make this happen. Thank you for supporting the students of the BHS music department.” - Tim Ketterer, BHS Band Director "The music department at BHS provides so many different opportunities to the students at Burlington. It's a place where students can engage in music-making and music creation in many different ways - traditional band, choral, marching band, and orchestral ensembles as well as classes in modern music production, film-scoring, and more. All of these different offerings require commitments of time, energy, staffing, and money to make sure they are all well-supported and well-run. We want to make sure we're offering the best opportunities to our students in a contemporary music education setting." - Beth Holmgren, BHS Chorus & Orchestra Director
