My name is Zack, and I have been given the incredible opportunity of a lifetime: I’ve been selected to represent 1st Burnham-on-sea Scouts and country at the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland, 2027! What is the World Scout Jamboree? Every four years, tens of thousands of young people from almost every nation on Earth gather in one place. In 2027, the sandy shores of Gdańsk, Poland, will become a global city of tents. It’s not just a camping trip; with a focus on: Global Friendship: Building bridges across cultures and languages. Sustainability: Learning how to protect our planet for the future. Skill Building: Developing leadership and teamwork in high-pressure environments. ⚜️ My Scouting Journey Scouting has been a huge part of my life. It’s where I learnt that a little bit of grit and a lot of teamwork can get you through any rainy night or difficult hike. Why I Need Your Help The "Jamboree journey" involves a significant fundraising goal (£3650) to cover the costs of travel, specialised equipment. I’m not just asking for donations; I’m working for it!
