An update from Nathaniel’s parents, Bogdan and Masha: This update is a little overdue because we have been sharing most of Nathaniel’s recent updates on his Facebook page, but on July 20th, by God’s grace, Nathaniel finally came home with us. After his first open-heart surgery, serious complications, and a long hospital stay, bringing him home was the moment we had prayed for through so many uncertain days. Being home is a tremendous answer to prayer, but Nathaniel’s journey with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome is not over. Right now, our focus is helping him remain healthy, grow stronger, and prepare for his next planned heart surgery. His next surgery is currently expected to take place sometime in October or November, as long as everything continues to go well. We do not have a confirmed date yet, but we will share it once his medical team determines the timing.
