What they care about

I've always been passionate about heavy equipment operation as well as having a family. I want to provide for my family in the future for my kids.

I’m raising funds for myself as I work to rebuild my life in sobriety. I recently completed treatment, and I’ve now been clean and sober for 4 months. I also have a job at Sister Cafe, and I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet and keep moving forward. Right now, the biggest thing standing in my way is not having my license back or a vehicle. Getting both would allow me to return to heavy equipment operating, which is the work I know and have spent 20 years doing with my grandfather’s excavation business in Walla Walla. If I had my license today, I could go back to work right away, begin stepping up, and help run the company. Substance use took over my life for a time, but I’m fully committed to my sobriety and ready to begin again. This fundraiser is about creating a real path forward. Having reliable transportation would open the door to better work, help me use my certification again, and give me the chance to start building a future for my family. Funds from this fundraiser will only be used for the things I need to move forward: getting my license back, buying a cheap reliable car, and covering basic necessities like clothes and hygiene items. If you’re able to help, any donation would mean a lot to me. Even sharing this fundraiser would make a difference as I work to rebuild my life, return to the work I know, and keep going strong in my recovery. Thank you for your support.
