<div>This past Sunday, September 1st, my little sister, Farrah Camu, suffered a severe brain injury after a sudden cardiac arrest due to a blood clot from a recent e-bike accident. She is currently on life support, fighting for her life in the ICU. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in easing our family's financial burden so we can focus on her recovery.

<div>Since the accident happened, my family and I have gone through major lifestyle changes in a short amount of time in order to support her and be by her side every step of the way. This also includes her boyfriend of 6 years, Johnny who has been living with Farrah for many years along with their family of 2 dogs, Copper and Maggie, and 2 cats Elle and Binx. Farrah's lifestyle consists of caring for her beloved animals in her apartment, living with Johnny, and gigging and creating music as a full-time independent musician. Over the years she has brought so much enjoyment to many listeners with her singing videos of R&amp;B covers on her YouTube channel and original music on streaming platforms. She has also made many in-person connections from her weekly public and private live music gigs around town. Unfortunately, her inability to sing, play guitar, songwrite, and continue being self-employed at this time means that her sources of income have stopped while her bills have not. All the funds raised will be used towards Farrah’s medical bills, after care, recovery, necessary resources, her rent, pets, and extra unforeseen expenses.

In the last year she has had to recover from an emergency quadruple bypass surgery, a stroke following that surgery, stage 2 breast cancer and now a colostomy from a perforated bowel caused by her first chemotherapy treatment.

Donna Larsen Needs Our Support

Thank you for clicking on lil’ ol me. I need your help, internet stranger! Grab a coffee or tea or something, and prepare to hear yourself quite a tale! In the spring of 2020, I was infected with COVID-19 and became severely ill. I went on to develop the Post Acute Sequelae of Covid, or PASC (often described in the media and online as “Long Covid.”) PASC has impacted every single aspect of my life. Some greatest hits of the past few years include &amp; crashing/coding in the hospital from cardiac arrest, being on stroke watch with blood clots and an arterial dissection in my brainstem, occasionally needing an assistive device to safely ambulate, and needing an expensive chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion every 8 weeks in order to stand, move, and walk. Before my COVID infection, I lived with a brain injury as a result of a pulmonary embolism-related stroke caused by a rare genetic autoimmune condition. The post acute sequelae of covid has further weakened my already tenuous health. Along with intense pain, fatigue, heart problems, GI issues, and neurological damage, Long Covid also causes its own intense mental health complications. The depression, anxiety, and dissociation as well as the complete disruption of my central nervous and autonomic systems are utterly crippling. Sometimes it is all I can do to keep fighting. The only thing worse than dealing with this terrible disease is knowing there is an entire political and social movement dedicated to pretending people like me don’t exist. We do, and I do, and I’ve been struggling. I’ve spent roughly a year and a half of the last three years in the hospital. I check in with multiple specialists month to month. My medical bills have completely surpassed my ability to cope with them. I am receiving disability- but as many people are now experiencing- my benefit was cut by about 500 dollars back in January. I am also owed over 4, 000 in back disability payments, which I have yet to see. I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to mediate with the benefit offices, and I am now legitimately afraid further action on my behalf will result in a loss of what little I am able to receive. Since April of 2020, I have needed physical therapy, occupational therapy, home nursing, monthly and bi monthly infusions, oodles of expensive medications and tests with intermittent insurance coverage. I’ve dealt with all of this while “recovering “ at home between frequent hospitalizations. I put that word in quotes because there is no known cure for Long Covid, especially when the patient has very serious pre-existing conditions and disabilities. It’s anyone’s guess how I’ll be feeling on any given day or week. This makes work and working very difficult. I perform and work as a vocal coach when I can, but there are times when I’m unable to work for days, weeks, or even months at a stretch. Such is the nature of Long Covid. I will ALWAYS strive to coach and gig as much as I am able- but there is a limit to what I can handle on my own right now- and as much as I hate to ask for it - I need help. The amount of money that I am asking for will cover the aforementioned amount that I have yet to receive– and may never receive– in back disability. It also will cover the amount that was taken out of my benefit payments these last few months. I will use these funds for medication, hospital bills, transportation to and from appointments, and probably to pay a portion of my rent that my current fixed disability income does not cover. In addition to my 3 year unpaid gig as a full time Long Hauler, I am also a cabaret singer, actor, and writer. My art has helped me in my journey to heal- and time spent not tearing my hair out over how to make ends meet means more time to make art when my body allows. <p>Hi my name is Tania, I am from San Diego, California and I created this page to accept donations towards my dogs lifesaving chemotherapy fund. On August 26th 2021, my 10.5 year old lab mix Jack was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Jack is being treated at San Diego’s Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Sorrento Valley with the gold standard of care contingent if we can keep up with the payments of his chemotherapy treatment. On September 2nd he was confirmed to have b-cell lymphoma which medical experts say responds much greater to chemotherapy versus the t-cell. His prognosis for a year lifespan is calling for the 6 month “CHOP” protocol which has the highest success but will cost $11,000 total. The treatment needs to stay consistent and because of his size and weight at 95lbs he requires higher doses of the treatment. He is responding well to the treatment already going into get his appetite back and sleeping again. The CHOP lymphoma protocol is a 25 week course of 4 different drugs that alternate every week some drugs much stronger than the next. Pet Insurance will not cover the chemotherapy, so it’s up to me and my family to fundraise the money to get Jack the treatment he deserves. It’s hard enough I had to learn he only has a year but now I need to scramble to get that money so he can go onto live this last year. What I believed was only going to be a routine collapsed lung surgery, turned out to be cancer.

<p>Jack is a loving lab mix from San Diego California. He is a rescue from the Escondido Humane Society adopted at only 3 months old. He has been in very good health the majority of his life. In 2014 at age 2 he was diagnosed with Cranial Crucial Ligament disease leaving him unable to walk and was treated for bi-lateral TPLO knees surgeries that my family helped me pay for as pet insurance did not cover that as well. A bionic dog with metal plates in his knees he went on to live a very healthy life swimming at the beach and playing at the park up until he recently was diagnosed with Lymphoma August 26, 2021.

<p>Jack is strong, loving, sweet and has a huge gusto for life. At 10.5 years old he’s a fighter, already responding wonderfully to Presidone, a steroid that induces remission. We have no doubt he will respond just as well to the chemotherapy if we are able to acquire the funds to get him the treatment on a consistent bases for the next 25 weeks. The 6 month protocol will give him another year and very well more.
