My name is Kyle, and I’m grateful to share that I’ve been selected to travel to Japan with the Montana State Wind Symphony for a musical tour — an opportunity I never imagined when I first started playing music. Being chosen to represent this ensemble for my university abroad is very exciting and a huge deal for me. This is a chance that many musicians may never get, so I plan to make the most out of this opportunity. Music has always been the thing that motivates me. I love the idea of performing, learning, and being part of an ensemble that makes me tap into my potential. This tour is a chance to grow as a musician and as a person — to experience a new culture, learn from incredible musicians, and bring those experiences back to my community and my future in music. It’s the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come around often, especially for someone my age. Because the university can’t cover most of the costs, each student has to find their own way to pay for the trip. For me, that total is around $3,500, which covers travel, meals, housing, and transportation while we’re in Japan. That’s a lot for me to take on alone, and it’s the only thing standing between me and this once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. Your support would help cover: 1. Travel expenses 2. Meals and housing 3.
