We are raising funds for Betsy, our friend and mother of our friends, after the loss of her husband. After privately navigating stage 4 prostate cancer for the past four years, a sudden and unexpected rare spread to his brain caused Joe to leave his family and loved ones far too soon.

Betsy and Joe have called Steamboat home for many years and have long been part of the community that means so much to them. Now, as Betsy faces this incredibly painful chapter without Joe, we hope to help surround her with the same care, generosity, and support that Steamboat is known for. Thank you for helping lift some of the burden and showing Betsy that she is not alone.

Support Betsy After Joe’s Passing

<div>Our hearts are broken as we share the sudden passing of Matt Johnson, a devoted father, husband, and friend. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, we’re coming together to support the Johnson family and our entire community as we grieve the loss of a man who has impacted so many of us. Please, remember to take care of your mental health, prioritize self-care, and lean on each other as we all navigate this profound loss.

<div>This fund has been set up to help Kelli and her four amazing kids—Lucas, Eli, Kate, and Shiloh—as they face the difficult days ahead. All donations will go directly to support their immediate needs and future care. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, share, and contribution as we rally around this wonderful family.

<div>If you'd like to share cards, gift cards, or other contributions for the family, please bring them to Steamboat Fit West at 1901 Curve Plaza. We'll ensure everything is delivered directly to them. Thank you for your support and kindness!

Coming Together for the Johnson Family

Please help support Steamboat restaurants and local families in need. Each donation will be used to purchase gift cards from local eateries and these gift cards will then be donated to LiftUp for distribution to food-insecure individuals in the Yampa Valley. Visit www.SteamboatLocalLove.com for all of the details <br /><br />Thank you very much for your support of our community.  Steamboat needs you now more than ever.
