In the heart of El Remate, Guatemala, our orchard—known as Finca Entre Las Cuerdas—is slowly becoming something extraordinary: a living, breathing hub for music, art, and community connection. For years, we’ve dreamed of giving children and families in this region a safe place to learn, create, and dream beyond their circumstances. A place where a guitar can spark confidence, a paintbrush can tell a story, and a stage can open the door to possibility. With your support, we can turn this vision into a lasting reality. Your donation will directly fund: Purpose-Built Teaching Spaces: Small shaded outdoor areas where local and visiting teachers can hold lessons, workshops, and music sessions year-round. Secure Instrument Storage: A safe, dry space to protect donated guitars, ukuleles, marimbas, and percussion instruments for future generations of students. A Community Kitchen: A shared space to prepare meals for students, artists, and volunteers during workshops, cultural events, and community gatherings. A Modest Stage & Gathering Area: An open-air performance space where children can showcase their progress, host community concerts, and celebrate local culture. Guest & Volunteer Accommodation: Simple, welcoming rooms for visiting artists, mentors, and volunteers who come to share their skills and knowledge with the community. Orchard Improvements: Pathways, shade areas, gardens, and seating that make the finca a comfortable, safe, and inspiring space for families to spend time and learn. This is more than construction—it’s building opportunity, empowerment, and a place where creativity can thrive long into the future. Every brick laid, every wall built, is a step toward breaking cycles of poverty through access to music, mentorship, and artistic expression. At Finca Entre Las Cuerdas and our partner space Casa Caléndula, we are creating a unique hub for music, art, and cultural exchange in El Remate, Guatemala. Our dream is to welcome visiting artists, musicians, and teachers from around the world, offering local youth opportunities to learn directly from these inspiring mentors. With your support, we can: Provide lodging and meals at Casa Caléndula for guest artists and researchers, giving them a comfortable space to rest, create, and connect with the community. Host hands-on workshops and intimate concerts, where local children can discover new skills, instruments, and art forms that expand their imagination. Build bridges between cultures, creating unforgettable experiences where music and art bring together people from different backgrounds to learn and grow side by side. Every $50 helps us open the door for an artist or teacher to bring their knowledge, passion, and inspiration to El Remate.

Thanks to our amazing partner Gibson Gives, we’ve been gifted incredible instruments for our music program. But getting them safely from the U.S. to El Remate is a challenge. Your support will cover: Shipping costs from Colorado to El Remate, Peten, Guatemala including protective cases. Customs fees and safe delivery to our project site. Extra gear for music lessons. Every $25 helps move guitars, basses, and ukes into the hands of kids who need them.

Development of our orchard homestead (Finca Entre Las Cuerdas) into a hub for teaching, performances, and volunteer residencies. Artist and volunteer exchanges, connecting international creatives and coaches with the next generation of Guatemalan musicians.
