<div>Broeden is currently in the fight of his life as he undergoes a double cord blood transplant for his High Risk AML. 

</div>

<div>After an extensive search, we were unable to find a matching bone marrow donor—but we will continue advocating and searching for others who may still be waiting for their lifesaving match.

<div>Right now, our focus is on getting Broeden through this critical stage and supporting him and my sister every step of the way.

<div><b>Once he is discharged, the journey doesn’t get easier…. it just looks different:</b>

<div>❤️Broeden will need to travel back and forth to the hospital 2–3 times a week for clinic visits, transfusions, and care.

<div>❤️One week each month, he will need to go five days in a row to receive chemotherapy. 

</div>

<div>❤️Each round trip is 112 miles. 

</div>

<div>❤️As you can imagine, this adds up quickly- physically, emotionally, and financially.

<div>❤️Broeden’s mom is a single parent and his full-time caregiver, balancing his care while also raising two young siblings.

<div>❤️She has already used all of her PFML during Broeden’s inpatient stay since December 22, 2025, and is currently unable to work.

Broeden Strong - The Battle Against Acute Myeloid Leukemia

<div>I'm Cat. I'm a wife, a mom, a PTO volunteer, a town commissioner, an interior designer, and an entrepreneur. And since October 2025, I've also been navigating cancer.
</div>

<div>Here's what happened, plainly:
</div>
<div>In October 2025, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. In December, I had a total hysterectomy — which was expected to be curative. What followed has been described by my care team as very rare. My case doesn't fit the standard treatment pathways, and the pattern my tumor has followed occurs in roughly 1% or fewer of cases at this stage.
</div>

</div>
<div>Because of that, my treatment requires specialized, evolving oversight. I'm currently receiving six rounds of chemotherapy every three weeks, alongside immunotherapy, managed locally through Hartford HealthCare — with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston available for additional review if my path shifts.
</div>

<div>This is not a straightforward case. My care team is attentive, I am engaged, and we are moving forward — but the road is longer and less predictable than we first hoped.
</div>

<div>Why I'm fundraising

<div>My doctors have encouraged me to keep working through chemotherapy. At the same time, my employer has not permitted me to return to my regular position, which has made our income unpredictable during an already uncertain time.

<div>I am working. I've secured freelance design work supporting local designers and builders, and I'm preparing to sit for my NCIDQ licensing exam in October. But infusion weeks, recovery days, fatigue, and side effects mean my capacity varies — and the bills don't.

<div>We do expect some income during this period, including a variable commission from a prior business sale and design work as my schedule allows. This fundraiser bridges the gap when timing and amounts are uncertain.

<div>Every dollar goes directly to keeping our household stable during treatment — rent, groceries, utilities, transportation, insurance, and the treatment-related costs that come with a complex cancer case. Keeping Our Family Stable During Cancer Treatment

<div>On Thanksgiving morning, my brother-in-law Bill Monsen suffered a massive heart attack. Against all odds, the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital were able to revive him after an extensive battle. After saving Bill’s life, his doctor remarked that Bill’s survival was “truly a miracle.” However, there is still a long journey ahead for Bill in the ICU and beyond.

<div>Those of you who know Bill, know that he lights up a room. This is especially true for his wife, Taylor, and son Finn. At 18 months old, Finn already reveres his dad and does everything with him. Bill has always been an active part of his community. Bill has been an assistant coach for Nashua High South Football for the past 18 years, was the head coach of Boys Lacrosse at Nashua High South for 10 years, and a teacher at Nashua High South for 8 years. Whether it be through teaching or coaching, Bill has played an active role in bettering the lives of many, never asking for anything in return. Now, under the most unfortunate circumstances, we must ask you for your help on behalf of Bill, Taylor, and Finn.

<div>Chris was the 5th of nine children…we lost our Mom back in 1971 and our Dad in 2014…we learned early on the importance of family and sticking together through the good times and bad..like most families we’ve had our share of both! But I’m here to say the good times greatly out weighed bad..so many wonderful times shared together  as a family..

<div>Unfortunately, Chris lost his job at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and with that his zest for life…he continued his daily routine and making the rounds of visiting with friends…the last few weeks he started getting sick and really believed he would be ok, but his gallbladder perforated filling his stomach with infection and although the doctors did everything they could to save him, it wasn’t meant to be…on Chris-tmas  Day he flew into the heavenly arms of our parents loving embrace.

Shane was a son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. Everyone that knew Shane knew his contagious personality that brightened up any room. His family and friends meant the world to him. <br /><br />On Sunday July 24, 2016 Shane's young life was cut short. Our hearts are broken. She has faced more challenges than most, yet she has always shown up with strength, grace, and quiet determination.

<div>For many years, Elinor, now aged 71 years young, spent countless days and nights in the hospital caring for her beloved eldest daughter, Brenne who courageously battled neurofibromatosis - a rare genetic disease since she was born. Five years ago, Brenne sadly passed away from complications of that illness. Despite unimaginable heartbreak, Elinor continued forward, carrying her love for her daughter in everything she does.

<div>Now, Elinor is facing another difficult chapter.

<div>She is currently dealing with a medical condition that has left her unable to currently work. With no sick time or personal time left available, she has no savings or income at this time. As a result of some other private matters she is facing with her 2nd daughter, she is now facing eviction and is struggling to secure safe housing for herself. She has placed her name on low-income housing lists and has declared her emergency situation, but as many know, waiting lists can take months — even years to offer availability.

<div>We, her co-workers and friends, are hoping to raise funds to help Elinor stay afloat during this critical time — to help with housing costs, basic living expenses, and to possibly secure even a private room in a safe home that she can afford while she recovers and regains stability.
