Gateway to Freedom nonprofit is a community center for young people who are creatively gifted. Our mission is to empower youth to achieve greatness in adulthood through artistic expressions and entrepreneurial mentorship. Our purpose is to help young people identify and develop their creative gifts. Our vision is is to provide young people the opportunity to live a life filled with purpose by cultivating their natural abilities, guiding them into the creative, artistic careers that they love. There is significant pressure these days for young people to go the traditional route and work for anyone besides themselves. We are a group of artistic creative entrepreneur mentors that have set out to teach like minded young people how to monetize their creativity and live a life filled with passion and purpose Societal pressure can easily disconnect us from our creative self-expression.  Many of us have natural creative gifts, that when activated, and properly nurtured, can translate into both entrepreneurship as well as traditional forms of employment. At Gateway to Freedom, we believe in our young people and have set out to help them learn to believe in themselves.

We are splitting up our course into 3 month semesters, serving 12 students each semester ranging from ages 15-19. We will have 4 8 hour days of classes and 2 days of open studio time where the students can practice and apply the skills they are learning giving every student the resources to create their own project. The projects will vary based on the students chosen focus. Some students who are interested in rapping or singing will have the opportunity to make an EP of 5-9 tracks, other students who are focused on production and beat making, will have the option to create a compilation of beats that they have created, the students who are interested in deejaying will get the opportunity to create a mix tape. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/61969423_1644646792237385_r.jpg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="61969423_1644646792237385_r.jpg" /> We think that if artists were given more opportunities at young ages to develop their talents without getting taken advantage of, a lot more artists would experience success, faster and not get lost in an industry designed to take advantage of them. We feel that in order to promote high self esteem and a high level of belief in self, we need to show our youth that we believe in them. At Leaf411's our main mission is to tackle healthcare inequality by providing cannabis education to the consumer at no cost. Public demand is increasing and calls are surging! This is Hera.













Hera jumped from at least the third floor of an apartment building after being abandoned inside the apartment.





















She survived the fall, but severely fractured two bones in her back right leg and sprained the others.


































I’m not sure at what point her former owner abandoned her but it seems like she was left in the apartment with food and water that ran out and eventually she tried to make the jump for the ground.


































Since some cat owners are known to leave their cats for up to two weeks, I don’t even know if they plan on coming back. But she’s just a kitten, so that doesn’t make sense either.



Honestly nothing about any of this makes sense.




















She was found early Saturday morning with her leg broken from reported phone calls of people hearing her cry in the contained pool area and the apartment management sent out this email.

By 3 pm that afternoon, no one responded.


















Once I heard Her screaming in pain, I honestly didn’t have any other choice.




















By 4 pm they were going to call animal control so instead I went and took her for the night, giving the owner one more night to claim her.

































Then I named her Hera… (first mistake)

































Then I took her to the nearest vet (second mistake) who took the following x-rays but didn’t have any of the supplies needed to give her a splint.

After 4-5 clinics refused to accept her, she is currently getting a splint in North Phoenix. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/58441821_1626219094266157_r.jpg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="58441821_1626219094266157_r.jpg" /> She’s scheduled for a surgical exam on Thursday.  I’m $1,000 in so far, and they are expecting $4-6k to secure her leg back together with steel plates instead of pins. I don’t mind paying, maybe others won’t mind either. Save Hera - Abandoned Kitten Survives 3 Story Jump

It is with a heavy heart to say that our family suffered an unimaginable loss. Patricia June Ranger unexpectedly passed away in her home Monday, December 24th, 2018, at age 81. She had a heart of gold and could make anyone smile. She truly was a loving soul and will be deeply missed by many. On behalf of the family, we have setup this GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending monetary contributions. We are trying to ensure they're able to remember and celebrate Patricia’s life with a memorial and a funeral. We understand it is the holidays, and this is a harder time of the year for most.
