Hello, my name is Rebecca, but I’m asking for a little help for my daughter, Emma. A few years ago, Emma had an accident at school that knocked out one of her front adult teeth. At the time, we did what was needed to heal and fix her tooth, but with a possibly temporary solution. Unfortunately, dental injuries can sometimes cause problems years later, and that is what we are encountering. Now that Emma is a little older, that old injury is catching up with her. The nerve in the tooth has started showing signs of damage, and she now needs a root canal, a permanent crown, and the additional dental work needed to save the tooth. The total cost is approximately $3,400. I included a picture of the tooth so you can see what we’re dealing with, but more importantly, I wanted to include a picture of Emma because that’s who we’re doing this for. She is such a sweet girl, and it breaks my heart knowing she’s having to deal with this because of an injury that happened a few years ago. We are a family of six, and an unexpected $3,400 dental expense is simply more than we can manage right now. We just had to put a new transmission in our work van that unexpectedly went out and used up what savings we had. Asking for help is not something I’m used to doing. I’ve always been the person who tries to figure things out and handle things myself. But when it comes to my kids, I’ll put my pride aside every time. Our goal is simply to get Emma the treatment she needs and take care of this before the damage becomes worse. If you’re able to donate, whether it’s $5, $20, or whatever you can spare, it would mean so much to our family. And if you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would help us tremendously. Thank you for taking the time to read Emma’s story, for sharing it, and for helping us get her smile taken care of.
