Courtney’s Next Chapter ❤️ In just a couple of days, Courtney will begin the next chapter of her recovery at OhioHealth Neuro Transitional Center. Courtney was officially discharged from Dodd on Wednesday, August 19th, and has spent the past few days back home. After four weeks of incredible hard work, therapy, and progress, having her home has been so incredibly special. I have especially loved getting to spend this quality time with her—just talking, laughing, being together, and soaking up these moments that I know I will treasure forever. ❤️ In just these past few weeks, we have already seen so much growth. Her speech has improved, she is getting stronger with her walking, and she is climbing stairs, but most importantly her quick wit, humor, playful and loving personality is coming back… the Courtney we all know and love is back and it’s the best feeling in the world. Watching her work so hard and seeing these accomplishments that once seemed so far away has been absolutely incredible. We are beyond thankful for Courtney’s physical, occupational & speech therapists, and her entire care team. Thank you for pushing her when she needed it, believing in her even when the road ahead was uncertain, and never letting her give up. Your encouragement and dedication have helped Courtney see just how much she is capable of, and we will forever be grateful for each of you. ❤️ Courtney will receive inpatient care for 60–90 days, with physical, occupational, speech, and neurological therapy. Our expectations are high, and we know hers are too. She is determined to work hard and become the best version of herself—not only for herself, but for all the people she loves. And this next step is only possible because of you. Yes—you. ❤️ Hundreds of you have donated your time, prayers, love, and hard-earned money to help Courtney continue fighting and reaching her potential. She is so incredibly grateful to have you in her corner, cheering her on and backing her every step of the way. We would also love to create a collection of encouragement for Courtney to take with her and watch during her recovery.
