My son Kristian was found dead in the Joe Corley Unit, a federal facility, due to negligence. The officers are supposed to check on every inmate every hour, but somehow, my son went unnoticed for a whole day. The facility knew he had diabetes and was a special case load, yet he did not receive the medical attention, food, water, or clean clothes he deserved. Just because someone is in jail does not make them any less human. They deserve basic care and dignity. 
 
I have struggled to find any lawyer willing to take on the facility. The circumstances around Kristian’s death are suspicious—there are two different stories about how he was found in his bunk, and the facility waited five days before notifying our family. I am left with so many questions: How are drugs getting into the jail when all communication is through technology? Why did it take so long for anyone to notice he was gone? Sadly, my son is not the only one—other families have lost loved ones in this facility and are left with no answers. 
 
I am asking for your help to make this post go viral and help me get justice for Kristian. I am looking for any lawyer willing to take on this case and bring awareness to the conditions at Joe Corley Unit.
