For Kade Ligon

Kade Ligon, a friend and co-worker, was recently involved in a devastating accident and is currently in critical condition. Kade is not just a friend to those who know him. To so many people, Kade is like family. Kade has touched countless lives through love, kindness, and the way Kade has always shown up for the people around him. Seeing Kade in this condition has been heartbreaking, and Kade’s family, work family, and friends are doing everything they can to be there during this incredibly difficult time. Right now, Kade has a long road ahead, and the emotional weight of this moment is only made heavier by the financial burden that comes with such a serious accident.

Support for Kade will help ease the growing expenses facing Kade and the family, including:

Medical care and hospital expenses

Ongoing treatment and rehabilitation

Lost income due to time away from work

Family support and daily living expenses during recovery

Every donation, no matter how small, will go toward helping Kade and the family through the days and weeks ahead. If donating is not possible, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Kade and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Every prayer, every kind word, every share, and every donation truly matters. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Kade and the family during this unimaginable time.

Stand With Kade Ligon

My name it Kristy Morgan and I am raising money for my best friend’s husband, Denny McGuff. He was electrocuted while working as a lineman, in our community, while trying to restore power for thousands devastated by the ice storm. He was electrocuted as a result, his left arm has been partially amputated and he is currently fighting for his life at UAB/Birmingham. He is in critical, but stable condition. Anyone that knows the McGuffs knows that they do anything for anybody. Please help me help them get through this challenging time. Thank you.

In efforts to bring these boys home, we’re asking for donations to help with the expenses for the families of Gunner Palmer and Zeb Hughes. On December 3, these two guys set out to go looking for a place to go duck hunting and haven’t been heard of since. With several rescue teams helping to try to find these guys, the families have been staying in hotels, eating fast food, and missing days of work in order to bring their family member home. So we’re asking for donations to reimburse these families for all of their expenses that they’ve had to use during this devastating time. The funds will be split directly down the middle and given to both families.

Wow. So can’t believe we are here. As some of you know I wanted to be a medical foster mom for a long time. I am. It’s honestly what I believe I was meant to do. When we ( Seth and I ) were first licensed a couple years ago our first call was for Demetrious. We excitedly said we wanted to go meet him and went to the hospital the very next day. At that time he was 12 months old and had spent most his life in CMH. We pretty much immediately fell in love. We got nursing and equipment arranged and he moved in a couple weeks later. Demetrious lived with us about a month when we got the call for a preemie with feeding issues. That’s the terror we all know as Daniel. ;) I remember the first weekend Daniel was colicky and I called my Mom to come over. I handed her Daniel and said “I think I made a mistake, I don’t know that I can do this” My mom did what she always does and reassured me I was doing good and stayed til we got Daniel to sleep.I soon had to quit my job to stay home with the boys because our nursing was not reliable. The next 2 years was SOOO very hard. We adopted D the following November. In Jan we got word that we would be adopting Daniel. 2 days after that amazing news Seth got diagnosed with cancer. Somehow we made it through surgery, chemo and radiation. It was hard and things were tight but thanks to my family we made it intact. Well, Seth not so much ;) but we are all alive and healthy now. Bryn has stepped up and been amazing through it all. She’s an amazing sister and daughter and I couldn’t have asked for a better kid. Last Sept we added another lil boy to our family. We are hoping he also stays forever. Some of you have met him and know he’s just as amazing as D. With that though comes the need for a new vehicle. A new vehicle with 2 wheelchair spots. We had grand plans to raise money to help get us a van. We were going to do a Gala, a dinner fundraiser, etc. Covid nice and screwed us with that. :) Who knows when we could actually safely do that. So now we have 4 kids, 2 in wheelchairs that are just getting bigger. D is ready for a new wheelchair. He’s 4 and weighs almost 50lbs. I’m not going to be able to take apart and lift his next chair. We can afford a payment but swinging the down payment is gonna sting. Well not really because we can’t swing it...... the more we can put down, the less our payments are and the more we have to spoil these amazing kids. I can’t believe I am asking for help but I will do anything I need to for these boys. They deserve the world and so very much more. Some of you that know D, know that he gives our entire family more than I can ever give him. All of these kids leave me in awe. I thank God daily I am their Momma. If you can help we would appreciate it more than you could ever know. If not and you can share it that’d be fantastic. Thank you!

Big D needs some wheels! :)
