Greetings friends, relatives, and allies,
My name is Samuel López, and I am honoured to invite you to support Indigenous participation in the 11th International Indigenous Pre-Conference on HIV & AIDS (IIPCHA 2026), taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Guided by the theme, “Our World. Our Ways. Our Vision.”, IIPCHA is a global Indigenous-led gathering that brings together Indigenous leaders, Elders, Traditional Knowledge Holders, youth, researchers, healers, advocates, and community members to strengthen Indigenous responses to HIV and other pressing health challenges through the wisdom of our Peoples and cultures.
For many Indigenous Peoples, participation in international forums remains limited by significant financial barriers. Yet it is essential that Indigenous voices are present where policies, priorities, and decisions affecting our communities are being shaped. This fundraising campaign seeks to provide urgent support for travel, registration, accommodation, and meals so that Indigenous delegates can participate fully, safely, and with dignity.
Your contribution is more than financial assistance. It is an investment in Indigenous self-determination, the sharing of ancestral knowledge, and the advancement of culturally grounded approaches to health and wellbeing. By supporting Indigenous participation, you are helping ensure that the experiences, teachings, and solutions of our communities are meaningfully represented on the global stage.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps create space for Indigenous leadership, community healing, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of international partnerships rooted in respect and reciprocity.
If you are able, please consider making a donation and sharing this campaign within your networks. Together, we can help ensure that Indigenous Peoples are heard, respected, and empowered in global conversations about health, rights, and wellbeing.
Miigwetch. Merci. Thank you for your generosity, solidarity, and support.
