Hello, my name is Jhoselyn Briceño, and I am the organizer of this campaign. My entire family and I are raising funds for my aunt, Gloria Gil de Pérez, who currently resides in Venezuela. For several years, my aunt Gloria has been experiencing problems with her left eye. Due to the country's economic situation, she was unable to access surgery in a timely manner, despite being on a waiting list for a free surgical outreach program. Approximately one month ago, her turn finally arrived, bringing with it the hope that her condition would improve. However, regrettably, the outcome was not as expected. The surgery did not go well, and her condition worsened significantly, resulting in the loss of a large portion of the vision in her left eye. She has now been diagnosed with left-eye subluxation, retained cortical remnants, and punctate keratitis—conditions that require URGENT surgical intervention to save her eye and restore her vision. In light of this situation, our entire family has decided to come together and support her in every way possible—whether near or far—as there is still an opportunity to improve her condition. However, this time, the treatment must be obtained through private care, with us covering all medical expenses ourselves. For this reason, we are urgently appealing to your generosity and solidarity. Our goal is to raise $2,000 USD to cover: • Urgent eye surgery • Specialized medical examinations • Medications • Post-operative hospital expenses Given the urgency of the case, funds will be utilized as they are received, and any remaining balance of the goal will be covered through other means. Toda mi familia y yo estamos recaudando fondos para mi tía Gloria Gil de Pérez, quien vive actualmente en Venezuela. Mi tía gloria desde hace algunos años venía presentando problemas en su ojo izquierdo. Debido a la situación económica del país, no había podido acceder a una cirugía a tiempo, aunque se encontraba en lista de espera para una jornada gratuita. Hace aproximadamente un mes, finalmente llegó su turno con la esperanza de mejorar su condición. Sin embargo, lamentablemente, el resultado no fue el esperado. La cirugía no salió bien y su estado empeoró significativamente, perdiendo gran parte de su visión del ojo izquierdo. Actualmente, ha sido diagnosticada con subluxación del ojo izquierdo, restos corticales y queratitis puctata, condiciones que requieren una intervención quirúrgica URGENTE para poder salvar su ojo y recuperar su visión. Ante esta situación, toda nuestra familia hemos decidido unirnos y apoyarla en todo lo que sea posible, estando lejos o cerca ya que aún existe una oportunidad para mejorar su condición, pero esta vez debe ser a través de un tratamiento privado, cubriendo todos los gastos médicos Por nuestra parte, es Por esta razón, que acudimos con urgencia a su solidaridad.
