My name is Dina Massi, and I am a sociologist, educator, and passionate athlete who believes that sport can be a powerful tool to connect communities and inspire change.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with diverse communities, supporting people from different cultural and social backgrounds. This experience has shaped my understanding that community wellbeing is not only built through social programs, but also through shared experiences, resilience, and collective purpose.
Participating in the Bali Hope Swimrun 2026 represents a personal and meaningful challenge for me. This will be my first long-distance aquathlon, combining swimming and running in an endurance event that requires both physical and mental strength.
I have never participated in a race of this distance before. Preparing for this challenge requires months of training, discipline, and commitment. Many people often see my training sessions on social media and ask why I dedicate so much time to workouts. The answer is simple: it is not only about sport or competition.
This journey represents the story of many immigrants like myself who work hard every day to build a life, pursue dreams, and contribute positively to society. My goal is not only to cross the finish line, but to share the process, the struggles, and the motivation behind it, so others can feel inspired to pursue their own goals.
The funds raised will support the costs required to participate in this event, including race registration and travel expenses. At the same time, the Bali Hope Swimrun initiative contributes to environmental projects focused on protecting ocean ecosystems, creating a positive ecological impact.
If I receive support to participate in this event, I will document and share the entire journey through platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, raising awareness about sport, community empowerment, and environmental responsibility.
This is more than a race for me.
It is an opportunity to demonstrate that dreams can travel across oceans, cultures, and communities.
Any support that helps make this dream possible will be deeply appreciated.
