Kali Jo Ward and her daughter Abigail, my grandbaby, are facing a crisis that has left them scared and overwhelmed. Kali received an eviction notice because their home has toxic black mold, and the landlord needs to fix the problem. Unfortunately, this means Kali and Abigail have nowhere to go. Their home has been their safe place, but now the mold is forcing them out, and they can't afford to move or replace the things that have been exposed. Abigail is only 1 1/2 years old, and Kali was pregnant while living there. We wonder if the mold could be related to Abigail being deaf in her left ear. The landlord offered a motel but canceled it, and the situation is urgent. When I stayed there to help with Abby, the black mold made me sick, and I could feel how dangerous it was.
Any funds raised will go directly to moving fees, security deposit, first and last months' rent, and replacing anything contaminated. Kali doesn't know how she'll afford to transfer utilities like electric and gas, but it has to be done. She has lived at this address for quite some time, and finding a new place with affordable rent is especially hard. Both Kali and Abigail are seeing their doctor, and we need help to get them out of this unsafe environment. I am trying to help them as grandma, but I don't have the financial backup I once had. Things are changing, and we need support now more than ever.
I really thank you for any help towards the safety of my grandbaby Abigail and her mom Kali. She is very scared to leave her home without a way to go. She has had a lot of overwhelming episodes, pure panic, on how she can afford to move. My grandbaby's health is at risk, as she has already had a rough start being deaf in her left ear. We don't want them to stay under this stressful moment. Please help them find a happy ending to this long drawn out crisis. It's urgent to be removed from their living situation and placed in a safe, clean environment. Please make a difference for their outcome to this. They are evicted from here and have not much time left. I understand they need secure, hope-filled donations to count. Thank you. Grandma can reach out for help for them. God bless you all!
