Help Our Family Get Back on the Road

We’re asking for help after an unexpected setback during an already difficult season. My husband’s parents have been staying with us in South Carolina in their camper while helping care for him as he battles cancer. They have put their own lives on hold to be here for our family, offering their time, support, and love every step of the way. While they were in South Carolina, they generously let their daughter borrow their extra vehicle back in Wisconsin. She drove it all the way to South Carolina to visit family, but during the trip back to Wisconsin, the vehicle broke down in West Virginia, leaving it stranded hundreds of miles from home.

They are now facing repair costs, towing expenses, and unexpected travel expenses, all while continuing to support our family through this cancer journey. The funds raised will go toward vehicle repairs and towing costs so they can restore reliable transportation while they are here in South Carolina and continue traveling back and forth to Wisconsin, where the rest of the family lives. If you’re able to help, any donation, big or small, would mean so much to our family. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to us. Thank you for your prayers, kindness, and support. Our family has been carried by the generosity of so many people, and we are deeply grateful for every act of compassion.

Help Our Family Get Back on the Road

On Saturday, May 10th, a devastating accident occurred involving a lawn mower that severely injured 5-year-old Gibson Rivera Theimer. He was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, where, tragically, he lost his right foot and remains in critical condition.

Gibson’s road to recovery will be long and difficult, involving extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and the eventual need for prosthetics. His family is facing overwhelming medical expenses and needs our support during this heartbreaking time.

Please consider donating—any amount can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can help ease the financial burden and show Gibson and his family they are not alone.

Urgent Help Needed for 5-Year-Old Gibson Rivera Theimer

Preslie, my 3 year old cousin, was diagnosed with blood and bone marrow cancer Acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Wednesday April 29. Thursday was a very long day for us as she stared her day with a platelet transfusion followed by a red blood cell transfusion to then be followed by a regular blood transfusion. By 1230 she was whisked away for a bone marrow biopsy, lumbar spine puncture, and a port cath placement. While they were doing those they gave her a dose of Vincristine ( chemo) in her spinal fluid. Once she returned after about 2.5 hours ahe got her 2nd dose of Vincristine again her chemo drug for this month. She has been very good considering all that has happened in such a short period of time. She started about 7 or 8 new meds yesterday which has been a chore to say the least to get her to take as almost all are oral and I can only image taste like shit....I will update daily or as much as possible on here. Please just keep our whole family in your prayers....it will be a long journey as they explained to us that from start to finish of treatment will be about 2.1/4 years long. The first 30 days will be the most important and intense on all of us. We love and thank you all! Side note With Covid we are only allowed 1 parent in here which has been very hard but we will get through this....Thank you all again!

Help Preslie Mantsch in her fight

On September 8, 2019, Jamie Ha Tran suddenly passed away at the age of 25 years old. Her loss is a devasting shock to all of those around her, and especially to those that love her. Jamie was incredibly fierce, bubbly, and loving. She loved her friends and family deeply and protectively, and in her own words, to the point of being, "all-consuming, and intimidating, and frightening, and clingy, and suffocating until one finds oneself desperately trying to claw away from the vines". But her love was always with good intentions. She was the kind of person that would fight to the end, to assure that her loved ones get all of the love they deserve, and get nothing but the best. Jamie’s exuberant spirit will be greatly missed by her parents, her cousin, and all our friends and who were lucky to have been blessed by her positive energy. We have created this page to raise funds for funeral costs for a lost loved one during these difficult times. We appreciate every contribution and we please ask that you keep the family in your prayers. We warm heartedly invite all friends and family as well as anyone who knew Jamie to celebrate her life lived. \\ Pumphrey Funeral Home: 7557 Wisconsin Ave Bethesda, MD 20814 // Visiting Hours: Friday: 7 - 9 pm; Saturday: 9 - 11 am Hỏa thiêu (cremation) *** PLEASE DO NOT BRING FLOWERS. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF HER PASSING***

Janet Patricia Sosa
August 2nd, 1982 - September 12th, 2019

A loving mother of 2, Older sister of three younger brothers, a wife to a loving husband, and a daughter of two grieving parents. Janet has been fighting for her life and continues to fight for her life while in the hospital. Even though she’s in pain, and on every machine that’s helping her live, she still continues to fight in hopes that her strong will to survive will help her see her children grow up.

On Janets Birthday, August 2nd, 2019 we have received the bad news that Janet has been diagnosed with liver failure. She has been hospitalized for more than a month now and continues to be at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. On September 8th, 2019 she has been diagnosed with Multi-Organ Failure. And her health continues to decrease. Janet, through all the pain she has been suffering, continues to fight and stay strong for her family and children.

Janet is a very generous and caring person. To those who knew Janet, they would know that she takes care of those around her, without asking for help, she’d help you in all the possible ways she could and put all her energy in helping those she loves. She is the person you go to when your feeling defeated and she will help you to get back up and not give up. As a family, we continue to be strong for Janet but it is very difficult to do so when the person you love is currently in pain. She was our rock in the family, and now it's our turn to return the love and support she showed each of us during our times of need.

We the family need help to help her kids grow, help her husband survive through the onslaught of things to come and to cover any after hospital fees or expenses needed to help us in our time of grief.

She will forever be greatly loved and will continue to be loved after this journey has come to an end. Her memories will always be cherished and will never disappear from our minds and hearts. We appreciate any help offered and any prayers given. We greatly bless you for your kindness of heart to help.

God Bless.

________ Traducción en español _____________

Janet Patricia Sosa
