My aunt and uncle in Guatemala have always been devoted to their family, especially as they care for their grandson with special needs. Recently, their lives were turned upside down when a fire broke out in their home due to an electrical failure. The fire destroyed much of their house and belongings, leaving them with little to rebuild from. As retirees, they have limited resources and are now facing the challenge of starting over while continuing to provide care for their grandson. The loss has been overwhelming, with their home and essentials gone. They are in urgent need of support to help them find temporary housing, replace basic necessities, and ensure their grandson has what he needs to feel safe and comfortable.
