<div>Dear friends and community,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This year in less than a few weeks is the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Like so many of my friends, I still vividly remember that tragic day. On that day, 1000s of men and women risked their lives to help save the 1000s of Americans who were trapped in the towers. Many of those souls were lost. While there are several great organizations who support our first responders and our Veterans, there are few that do it better with more pride and professionalism than The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>T2T’s mission extends to honoring our military and first responders who continue to serve selflessly, often putting their lives on the line for our safety. By contributing to this cause, you are helping to uphold their legacy and support those in need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donations will make a tangible difference as T2T:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Provides mortgage-free homes to the families of fallen first responders.
</li>
<li>Assists injured military veterans with adaptive housing solutions.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nothing can ever replace the life of someone lost to bravery, but T2T does the work to help those heroes and their families recover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So, I can think of no better way to honor the men and women who lost their lives in 9/11 and to Never Forget that day than to start a fundraiser to support T2T and the great work they do.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please join me (if you are willing and able) to do the same - either with your own fundraiser, or contribute to mine, or contribute directly to T2T.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please visit <a href="https://www.t2t.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.t2t.org</a> to learn more about this great organization.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But please take a moment to do something this September to honor all who were lost and injured that day, and to help those who 25 years on fight for their memory and to help to heal the lives of our first responders and their families.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My goal is to raise $25,000 for T2T and I will match every dollar donated to my campaign up to that amount.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s do this together. Thank you!

Support Tunnel to Towers on the 25th Anniversary of Sept 11

Hi my name is Sophia Solomon. I am ten years old and I am in the fifth grade.  A couple of weeks ago, my history teacher was talking about kids in Ghana.  She was telling us about their lives and the problems they face with poverty and child labor.  It inspired me to help.  While I was searching for a charity to help with Ghana, I found that I can also help kids in Cambodia.  I am currently gathering school supplies for the kids in a Ghanan village, and in addition to that I would like to sponsor a child in Cambodia through Cambodian Children's Fund.  I will be able to write letters to the child I sponsor and one day I might even be able to visit them!  I am raising $1800, the amount of money it costs to sponsor one child for a year.  The money will go toward health, education and housing.  Here is a little bit about the child I would like to sponsor:<br /><br />She is six years old.  Presently, she is living in CCF’s residential facility.  I can't share her name at this time for privacy reasons. <br /><br />Her mother and father were farmers for years. They decided to move to Phnom Penh in order to find better paid jobs. Unfortunately, the only work they could find was as garbage scavengers; collecting recyclable materials to sell.   <br /><br />Life has been extremely difficult with insufficient income to pay for basic living, food and education expenses. Fortunately, a neighbor told them about CCF and this adorable young girl was accepted into CCF’s full education Program in 2013. Later on, she came to live at CCF’s residential facility.<br /><br />I hope I can raise enough money so I am able to sponsor her and help her with her food and education needs.  Also, I am hoping we become friends.

Kai was born with a rare brain disorder called Partial Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (PACC), which means he is missing the nerves that attach both sides of the brain. On March 19th, 2017 I will be runnning my first ever full marathon (26.2 miles) in order to raise awareness for children with Disorders of the Corpus Callosum. All of the proceeds from this page will go directly to the NODCC, the national organization that strives to make medical advances for kids with brain disorders just like my brother's. Come out and support me on race day, or simply make a donation via the link on this page. One little act of kindness can go a long way...

Run for Kai

I will be joining a group of individuals from Clifton Lutheran Church and Sovereign Grace Church who will be working at Mission of Hope in Haiti from July 19th through 26th. Haiti remains heavily damaged from the earthquakes several years ago. This will be my first visit but the groups 3rd to help build houses and provide other needed services at this mission school. I was inspired to attend this year by Nora, Scott and Sarah Walker. In addition to inspiring me and several members of the church, Nora's work at Mission of Hope contributed to her achieving the Girl Scout Gold Award.<br /><br />There are 13 of us going. It costs about $1300. each for the week of which $877.00 is airfare. I am trying to raise $15,000. to help offset travel and lodging costs the group must individually incur. You can also make a donation directly to Clifton Lutheran Church in Marblehead Massachusetts if you'd like to give and prefer to go that route. We're looking forward to a very productive week on the ground in Haiti and appreciate any help you can give that will let us, in turn, help on the ground in Haiti.
