<div>I'm Yara, and many of you know me for my work rescuing animals. But today, I need you to help save a human family suffering from hunger and deprivation.

<div>My friend Abeer is a girl who has nothing left but responsibilities beyond her years. She lost her father and older brother in the war and was forced to support her mother and six younger siblings alone. She used to work as a cleaner in a school before the war, but now she has no work, no income, and not even enough food to feed her siblings.

<div>I met Abeer a year and a half after her displacement. Her condition was indescribably painful. She clung to me like a child, as if searching for a lifeline. She asked for nothing but food—just enough to satisfy her younger siblings' hunger.

<div>Therefore, I want to relaunch the donation box, which was previously dedicated to water distribution, so that it can now be dedicated entirely to helping Abeer's family. If we can raise $1,000 a month we can provide for Abeer, her mother and her six siblings. If you can, please help Yara support her friend Abeer.

<div>I am Yara from Gaza, my brother Faraj, my friends and I have been working since 2021 to rescue stray animals in our city that suffers from harsh humanitarian conditions that have affected both humans and animals. We started our efforts out of compassion and responsibility towards these innocent souls, and we achieved our dream of building a shelter for cats after two years of hard work, as we finished building it one week before October 7, 2023.

<div>But unfortunately, the war hit our area right after that, and our dreams were destroyed. My family and I were forced to flee from northern Gaza to the south, and our lives became full of difficulties and challenges. We lost our home, our shelter and all the rescue boxes that were part of our efforts. Even the cats we cared for were lost amidst this destruction.

<div>Today, after more than a year of displacement and suffering, hope still exists in my heart. I believe that I can return stronger than ever, and rebuild the shelter that was a home and mercy for animals who had nowhere to go.

<div>I ask for your support and help in this journey.  Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference. The money raised will be used to rebuild the shelter, provide food and medical care for the cats, and purchase supplies needed to restart our work.
