Bowen's home! Apologies for taking so long to post an update. Bowen came home to us in early July, and since then we've had some issues with finding permanent day nursing to help out, so James and I have been doing the bulk of his care, which is a lot. We're hopeful that's going to change sometime in the near future since I switched to a larger company in search of more reliable staffing. During this whole stressful time, my largest proofreading client ghosted me, and I can only assume it's because of poor Bowen. Between trying to take care of Bowen, Brynn and work at the same time, I've been running real close and sometimes even over work deadlines, and I've even made some mistakes while proofreading. However, because the bulk of my income came from that client, I am now only earning a fraction of what I used to, and there are still medical bills that are owed for Bowen and I. On a lighter note, Bowen's been doing really well here. He's about 20 pounds now and tall like his big sister. Brynn has taken to him well and tries to play with him a little, though she does get jealous because we have to spend so much time in his room doing his cares. The hope is that with more steady nursing, we can divert some focus back on to her. That was my worry once this all started was that she would feel left out and neglected due to how much energy goes into her brother now from both parents. I'll get another update out soon as Bowen starts attending all his appointments, and I'll post more pics as well. Thank you to all who are following us on this journey!
