Hi, my name is Karina am 33 years old, and I’m a single mom who is trying to rebuild my life and finally take care of myself after years of putting everyone else first. I became a mother at 18 years old and have spent most of my life raising my children, sacrificing my own needs so my family could survive. For 14 years, I stayed in a relationship that was emotionally painful and damaging. My ex-husband was abusive, manipulative, and unfaithful, and during those years I completely lost myself trying to keep my family together. I dedicated my entire life to being a mother and partner, while ignoring my own health, happiness, and confidence. Now, after everything I’ve been through, I’m trying to start over and heal. One of the biggest struggles I face is my dental health. Years of stress, financial hardship, and putting myself last have left me needing major denture work that costs far more than I can afford. I currently work doing Uber just to survive and provide for my children, but after paying rent, car payments, insurance, gas, food, and bills, there is barely enough left to make ends meet. This isn’t only about fixing my teeth. It’s about restoring my confidence, my smile, and a part of myself that I lost over the years. I want to be able to smile without embarrassment, speak without insecurity, and feel comfortable in my own skin again. After years of surviving, I’m finally trying to heal and rebuild my life. Asking for help is not easy for me, but I truly cannot do this alone. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and my children. Even sharing my story could help me get one step closer to getting my smile and confidence back.
