<div>Recently, our beloved friend Hannah experienced an unimaginably tragic loss. Her fiancé, Daniel, passed away in a heartbreaking accident on Thursday morning. In a single moment, the future they had been building together was taken away. While navigating overwhelming grief, Hannah is also having to face unexpected financial burdens - things that no one should have to worry about during such an already devastating time. There are some very real and very immediate financial challenges ahead.

<div>Daniel was not only her partner, but her rock, her biggest supporter, and her family. The weight of this loss cannot be adequately stated. The love that Hannah and Daniel shared touched everyone around them, and has impacted and brightened so many lives.

<div>In the coming months, Hannah will need support with basic living expenses, grief counseling, legal, and memorial-related costs. This loss has been so unexpected and impossible to prepare for. Though she is doing her best to stay strong, the road ahead is long, and no one should have to walk it alone.

<div>My brother Robin is currently in the ICU at Queen's Medical Center. He has been through rigorous tests for his weak heart over the past year. Through the many tests, the physicians discovered that he had prostate cancer. Being that he had cancer he was unable to get onto the donor list for a heart transplant, He made a crucial decision to remove his prostate in hopes of cleaning out all cancer cells. The surgery was a success, but his heart took an enormous hit. It rapidly declined to the point of a 10% Ejection Rate. He is not in a condition that will allow him to leave the hospital. He is hopeful to make it to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Arizona. He has to travel through medavac along with a team to care for him on the flight. Once there, he still needs to go through tests and scans to confirm that all cancer is gone. Once he clears these tests, he will be put onto a donor list as a category 2 heart recipient. He will need to live in Arizona for 6-8 months after the transplant. We are raising funds to assist with living assistance there and his mortgage here in Hawaii. He will need a place to rent in Arizona as well as a vehicle to take him to his appointments after the transplant, Most of all, we need your prayers for complete healing. As of today, there is not a firm date as to when he will leave Hawaii.. There needs to be an available bed for him in order to go there. Each day that passes, puts more strain on his heart. The stress of caring for his family as well as his expenses in Arizona, has caused him much stress and effects the function of his heart. She had the biggest heart and a smile to match. Iwa was your co-worker putting in extra hours on the weekend, your mom cheering in the stands of band competitions, devoted wife to her high school sweetheart of 30 years, and the grandma who secretly spoiled her grand baby every second she could. When you got her talking story, she listened to you with an open heart, shared her warmth, and could talk your ear off for hours— every second totally worth it. <br /><br />Most of all, she was a life-long friend and a ray of sunshine in so many people’s lives.<br /><br />She was a Woman of Faith, never doubting her Lord’s plan for her, even throughout her medical crises and afflictions. She was called to join our Father, and as unexpected as that was, we can only appreciate the fact that she’s no longer in pain.<br /><br />Early morning, on September 1, 2019, she closed her eyes on Earth for the last time and awoke in Heaven, after having succumbed to her long battle with kidney failure.<br /><br />In Iwa’s memory, this GoFundMe was created in order to support the following expenses to honor and celebrate her life:<br /><br /><br />- Memorial Service in Portland, OR<br /><br />- Cremation in Portland, OR<br /><br />- Accommodations to return her and her immediate family home (Oahu)<br /><br />- Celebration of Life on Oahu, HI<br /><br /><br />Please know, no contribution is too little or small.
