Helping Others less fortunate

Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit ZANE AUSTRALIA, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this worthwhile cause. Because our tenth tour will take us across two continents, we have decided to ride in support of two very splendid charities, the pensioners in Zimbabwe, and also the Friendship Bench, the mental health initiative which started in Zimbabwe and is now creating safe spaces for vulnerable people in ten countries across the world. We will be five riders in Vietnam starting in the village of Ha Giang on the China border north of Hanoi on 15 October and hope to finish 2200 kilometres and 23 ride days later in Ho Chi Minh City, unless of course we get lost in Laos, and with Jenny in the navigator’s seat in the support van, the chances of that happening are fatter than slim. The Tour will resume in Bulawayo on 23 November with seven riders for the Zimbabwe leg and will end in Victoria Falls on 29 November. We will route through Hwange National Park and are so very excited at the prospect of riding with lions, elephants and buffaloes. No disrespect whatsoever to Vietnam and her people, but the leg through Hwange will be the absolute highlight of the Tour. Epic causes and epic adventures are deserving of epic support. Please help us help those in need by advertising your company logo on the Old Legs Vietnam to Vic Falls ride jersey. Because we ride slow like paint dries, we can guarantee you maximum brand exposure in Klong Klanh Village, Lam Dong Province (pop. 3507) and also Tsholotsho, Matabeleland North Province (pop. 115,782) plus a massive amount of feel good. And please know that the riders and support crew will pay their own way, as per always, so every dollar pledged will go direct to the charities and will be used to save lives and change lives. Please shout out if you want to book a spot on the jerseys. Space is limited, especially on my jersey because I am very skinny. Best regards means so much to me. Johno. (Mark Johnson)
Join the Ride for Hope! ‍♂️ Supporting Pensioners in Zimbabwe From 15–24 November, a dedicated team of 8 cyclists from Australia and New Zealand will pedal through the stunning Yarra Valley, covering over 1,100 km in 10 days as part of the Old Legs Tour (OLT) Australia. Why We're Riding. Zimbabwean pensioners—many are left to fend for themselves—face daily hardship. We’re riding to raise funds to provide essential food support, distributed through ZANE (Zimbabwe A National Emergency) in Bulawayo and Harare. Day 1 kicks off with a gruelling 107 km ride and 1,500 m elevation—and that’s just the beginning. Every kilometre we ride brings real help to those in need. Your Support Matters All donations go directly to food aid efforts, and as ZANE is a registered charity, tax receipts are provided. Help Us Make a Difference Sponsors on the ride jersey will get an arm logo for $500 and for $1000 the back or the front ! But whether it's $10 or $100, your contribution fuels this mission of compassion. Let’s bring hope and dignity to Zimbabwe's forgotten pensioners. 100% of funds raised goes to supporting the pensioners with no admin costs deducted and all riders meet their own expenses.
