What they care about

I am passionate about being there for my friends and family in their time of need. Life brings us moments when we need to lean on others. I want to be there!

On September 8th, my husband Blake Bell had a motorbike accident that ended up breaking his ankle in 3 places. He had ankle displacement surgery, open reduction with internal fixation, and a nerve block. Dr. Ross at Capital Ortho performed the surgery at River Oaks on September 11th. Blake had a rod, and several pins and screws placed in his ankle. He is currently in a splint for 2 weeks and will be placed in a boot and will be on a knee scooter after. Now that we are home, Blake has not had any relief or sleep. It’s been a very long few sleepless nights. With him having surgery, he has a very long recovery ahead. Blake will be out of work for the next 2 months, possibly 3 months, depending on the post-op appointment, per surgeon. Having recently moved into our first home, we are not prepared for extra, unplanned expenses as we normally would be. With that being said, this is a very vulnerable time for us as we will be living strictly on one income for a while. Any and all donations are truly appreciated. This is a pivotal point in our lives and we are forever grateful for any and all donations and prayers. Finances are the last thing I need Blake to think about right now. All positive vibes for a safe, quick, and easy healing journey are so appreciated. Thank you, everyone! -Amanda Bell
