Hello, my name is James, and I am fundraising to support our local church in Brikama, The Gambia . Our church is more than a building—it is a place of prayer, hope, and unity for our community. Sadly, the church structure is in very poor condition. The roof leaks during the rainy season, the walls are damaged, and we lack basic items needed for worship. Many members, including children and the elderly, struggle to worship comfortably and safely. We are raising funds to repair and restore the church, including fixing the roof, improving the floor, providing chairs, lighting, and other essential materials. Every donation will go directly toward improving this house of God so it can continue to serve the community. Your kindness, prayers, and support—no matter the amount—will make a real difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Thank you, and may God bless you abundantly. ❤️
Grace and peace to you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is James, and I write to you with a broken yet hopeful heart from Brikama, The Gambia . I humbly ask you to please read these words slowly.....not only with your eyes, but with compassion, faith, and love. Our church is not just walls and a roof. It is the heartbeat of our community. It is where tired souls find rest, where mothers kneel in prayer for their children, where the elderly find comfort, and where young hearts are taught to know and love God. It is where we cry, where we rejoice, and where we lift our voices to heaven even when life is hard. Today, this house of God is suffering. The building is very old and weak. When the rains fall, water pours inside while worship is going on. When the sun is hot, the heat becomes unbearable. Cracks have formed, and we fear for the safety of the believers....yet they still come. They come because they love God, and they have nowhere else to gather in His name. With tears, prayer, and faith, we have made the painful decision to bring down the old structure and begin building a new church....a safe, clean, and welcoming place where God’s name can continue to be praised. A place where children can grow in the Word, where families can worship without fear, and where the broken can find healing in God’s presence. Today, we humbly reach out and ask for your help. We are praying for support of €10,000 (EUR). By God’s grace, this support will help us to begin this work by: Laying a strong foundation for the new church Creating a safe and dignified worship space Providing basic lighting, fans, and electricity Supplying chairs, Bibles, hymn books, and teaching materials Supporting worship and preaching with simple sound equipment If the Lord wills, this support can build the church or complete a major part of it. Every brick laid will carry a prayer. Every worship service held there will carry your kindness before God. Long after today, prayers will still rise from this place because you chose to help. The Word of God reminds us: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. .... Psalm 127:1 And again: God loves a cheerful giver. ..... 2 Corinthians 9:7 This is not just a donation. It is a seed planted in faith. It is hope for a community, shelter for worshippers, and a legacy for generations yet unborn. Through your kindness, lives will be touched, children will be guided, and hearts will be drawn closer to God. Though distance separates us, faith unites us as one body in Christ. We humbly ask you to stand with us, pray with us, and help us build a house where God’s name will be glorified. May the Lord bless you abundantly for every act of kindness, every prayer, and every sacrifice you make. May He open doors for you that no one can shut and reward you in ways beyond human understanding. With deep gratitude, faith, and prayers, James Brikama, The Gambia
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is James, and I am writing with a humble yet hopeful heart from Brikama, The Gambia . I kindly ask you to read these words not only with your eyes, but with your heart and spirit. Our church is more than a building. It is a place of prayer, worship, and fellowship. It is where our parents found strength, where our children learn the Word of God, where the broken find healing, and where believers gather to praise the Lord in both joy and hardship. Sadly, the church structure has become old, weak, and unsafe for our growing congregation. During the rainy season, water enters the building, and during the heat, conditions become very difficult. Despite these challenges, the people continue to gather faithfully, because this is a place dedicated to God. After much prayer and discussion, our church community has made the decision to bring down the old structure and build a new, safe, and welcoming house of worship—a place where everyone can gather in dignity and peace. Today, we humbly ask for your support. We are seeking to raise €10,000, which will help us to: Build the church structure from the foundation Create a safe and proper worship hall Construct clean and dignified restrooms Install lighting, fans, and electricity Provide chairs, Bibles, hymn books, and teaching materials Set up a sound system for worship, preaching, and praise By God’s grace, this support will allow us to complete a major part of the church construction. Every brick laid will be a testimony of faith, and every prayer lifted in this church will glorify God. The Bible reminds us: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7 And again: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1 This is not just a donation—it is an investment in God’s Kingdom. A seed planted in faith that will bear fruit for generations to come. Lives will be touched, children will be taught, and souls will be encouraged through your kindness. Though we may be far apart in distance, we are united in faith and love. We kindly ask you to stand with us and help build a church where God’s name will be glorified. May God bless you abundantly for every prayer, every act of kindness, and every support you offer. With sincere gratitude and prayers, James Brikama, The Gambia
