<div>"In March alone, 3,696 children were newly admitted for acute malnutrition [in Gaza]." – United Nations, 17 April 2025
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We can all see what is happening in Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Daily, we witness a continued and unrelenting bombardment. As of March, after 18 months of slaughter, 15,000 children have been killed and 34,000 injured. For two months, until mid-May, NO aid entered Gaza. It was reported that children were forced to eat animal feed and grass to survive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As of 14 May, the aid tap has finally been turned back on, to what extent we will have to wait and see. This will allow organisations like UNICEF to resume delivering life-saving supplies. Organisations like UNICEF continue this work even as aid workers are intentionally targetted and Gazans are forcibly relocated en masse, again, to another part of the strip.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In October this year, I will be running the Melbourne Marathon. As I train in the lead-up to the event, I hope to raise funds for UNICEF to allow them to continue their important work aiding the children of Gaza.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I would truly appreciate your support.
</div>
<div>Thank you.

Do They Know it's Christmas Charity Fundraiser

It is with a heavy heart that I organize another fundraiser for a fellow officer of mine that has lost his life in the line of duty. <br /><br /><strong>Please be aware that this fundraiser is the only means of fundraising authorized and approved by the Evans family.  This fundraiser is being organized by myself, Officer Lindsey Taylor, a fellow officer of Billy.<br /><br /></strong>On April 2, 2021, 18 year veteran United States Capitol Police Officer William Evans (Billy) paid the ultimate sacrifice while working his regular post outside the United States Capitol.<br /><br />Billy was a loyal friend, loving son and brother, and above all, a beloved Dad. Billy’s two young children, Logan and Abigail, were his entire world.  From light saber duels, to countless arts and crafts together, to working their way through stacks of board games, to recently finishing the Harry Potter series, Billy’s entire world revolved around his children. Whatever they were doing, when they were together, they were bringing light to each other’s lives  To Logan and Abigail, Billy has long been, and always will be, their #1 hero.<br /><br /><strong>All proceeds from this campaign will be put into a trust in Logan and Abigail’s name and will be used for their health, maintenance, comfort, support, and education in the coming months and years.</strong>  <br /><br />On behalf of myself and the entire United States Capitol Police family, we thank you once again for your support for us and the Evans family during this difficult time.

Auryn is our charming, fun-filled, Avengers mad, loving boy who, last year at 4 years of age, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. This rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer affects approximately 7 to 10 children a year in Ireland. At the outset of this difficult journey we were told that treatment would take 18 months. The good news is that he is responding well to treatment - 13 rounds of chemotherapy, two major surgeries, two stem cell transplants, 14 rounds of radiotherapy and multiple bone marrow aspirates, blood transfusions and other medical procedures (in the midst of a global health pandemic). With little disease left, he is now in the last phase of his treatment plan in Crumlin - immunotherapy, which he will complete by the end of the year.  Hopefully, this will lead to the clear scan result that we are so desperately waiting for. <br /> <br /><strong>Even though he has endured so much, Stage 4 Neuroblastoma has an extremely high relapse rate, and very little treatment options if relapse occurs. Sadly, this results in low survival rates. There is a clinical trial for a vaccine that helps prevent relapse in Neuroblastoma children in the Slone Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York. The vaccine has had very promising Phase 1 results and we will do everything in our power to save our wonderful boy and get Auryn this treatment. This vaccine is not available in Ireland, so our only option is to travel overseas. We have set up this fundraising campaign called Auryn's Heroes and are seeking to fundraise €375k by January 2021.  All funds raised will go towards getting Auryn the treatment he needs.</strong><br /><br />This cancer journey has impacted Auryn and our family so much, taking an enormous toll on both Auryn's physical and mental wellbeing. Aside from all the horrible medical procedures, he has missed out on so much of his childhood in the last year - the simple things that people take for granted have been denied to him. Due to his compromised immune system and constant risk of infection, we were required to keep him indoors, out of school and away from other children. Going into a shop, visiting another person's home, or having a playdate with other children are some examples of things that have been out of reach for Auryn for months and months on end. He has been surrounded by sadness, unspeakable horrors in hospital and endured medical procedure after procedure.  We just want to give Auryn back a normal healthy childhood and put this journey behind both him and us for good. <br /><br />We are asking you to consider being one of Auryn's Heroes and donating to give him the best chance to beat cancer once and for all. Your support will be forever appreciated and if you are able to share this campaign with your friends, family and colleagues, we would be very grateful.<br /><br /> Auryn's parents

Feed the Heroes

Sadly Kishor Budha  aged 21 jumped into a canalto swim  in Ireland on June 18th where he had been out celebrating 21st birthday of his friend, Kishor died Saturday afternoon, <br /><br />Kishor was a happy, friendly, bright and committed student, friend, brother  who was well-liked and admired by all who knew him.  All those in the College who had the pleasure of knowing Kishor and sharing his company considered him to be a really fine and good young man.  <br /><br /> His favourite quote was"Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact”<br /><br />This is a way that we can all help support his family financially as they are faced with  burial costs, and the many other unforseen costs that they will be faced with in the coming weeks and months. <br />On behalf of his family and friends, thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers. Let's continue to lift them up as the face many hard days ahead.
