Last May, I was in a car accident that changed everything for me and my mom. After the accident, my health took a serious decline. Months of doctor's appointments finally led to a diagnosis: I had suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. The accident damaged my hypothalamus, which left me violently ill and struggling to get through each day. By November, I had to quit my job, and now we have no idea when I’ll be able to return to work. Recovery from a hypothalamus injury is a long road, and stress only makes things worse. That’s why we’re hoping for some financial relief—so I can focus on getting my health back without the constant worry about bills piling up. Right now, we’re facing a lot of uncertainty. Our only vehicle has a check engine light on, and we rely on it for everything from doctor’s appointments to daily errands. On top of that, we’re struggling to keep up with living expenses and have to search specifically for specialists who treat hypothalamus injuries. Every bit of support will help us keep going during this difficult time. Asking for help is never easy, but we are deeply grateful to anyone who takes the time to read our story, donate, or even just share our fundraiser. Your kindness means more than words can say, and it will help us focus on what matters most—healing and moving forward, together.
