<div>I'm starting this GO Fund Me to help a young Family and their newborn child who is in extreme duress. All proceeds will go for hospital bills and the care for Baby Markus James Alvin Smith, Daddy Skylar and Mommy Eryn- who went into labor just under two months  prematurely. Baby Markus was breach, an emergency c-section was performed, and he is having many complications. Baby "M" was born Thursday night on July 16th, 2021, then on July 18th he was transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Baby's liver enzymes are extremely high. His kidneys aren't functioning well and he is producing too much albumin, among other problems. He is having seizures and the Doctors are trying to find a medicine for him that works. His blood platelets keep dropping. He is awaiting results from an MRI, scanned late last night on 7/22/21, to see if he is having brain bleeding. The health issues are ongoing and the Doctors are doing everything they can... I put the donation at $40,000.00 but that will not cover these costs. I would like to see the donations DOUBLE, TRIPLE  or QUADRUPLE THE AMOUNT I'm asking for. As we all know the bills are skyrocketing as I write this.

My best friend, my supporter, caregiver, spouse, and provider, of 33 years in May, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic /Lymphocytic Leukemia aka 'ALL' and a pituitary hemorrhage or a benign brain tumor. The tumor is pressing on his optic nerve and he could go blind at any time. It's being managed with two medications because they cannot do surgery now, or ever.(?)

<div>Todd Hendrix has a spouse, Jeanie Hendrix who is disabled and had just been placed in remission from breast cancer 3/27/25, and a son (step), Joshua Hardin. Joshua calls him Dad and Pop. Josh and I love him deeply and have relied on him for 33 years now.

<div>Todd is in the tree and stump grinding business. He loves his job, working, talking, teaching &amp;/or learning. I wish I could tell you the things he's done. He.Gives.Back. A giver, not a taker. His favorite part of working? all the people he's worked with, met, and of course his repeat and new customers. He could spend hours standing in your yard talking to you about your trees, tree care, when to say a tree can stay and he educates the client, versus saying it has to go just to get more money. He is honest, intelligent and good at what he does. He's into Trees, Land Clearing, Tree Removal &amp; Tree Stump Grinding, Snow removal, salting and plowing. His hobbies are shooting pool, music festivals, driving around and looking at other peoples yards and the countrysides, and visiting with friends and hanging out in their garages listening to old time stories.

<div>On April 4,2025 Todd woke in extreme pain. By 9am he was taken to the E.R. A few hours later he was admitted. He stayed 3 1/2 days, and was released early evening 4/7/25. He was given orders to be back the following Monday for more blood work. He didn't go. By Wednesday 4/16/25 he was forced by his spouse and left at 330p. At 605p the call came and it was the Doctor. "Mr Hendrix, this is Dr "Doe" from UH Hospital. Your blood platelets are a 6!!! (Average count is 120,00-150,000). You need to Get To The ER Now! Upon arrival he was taken back to a room. The routine tests were done and a blood panel. Around 1030p they started prepping him for transfer by ambulance to their downtown location in Kansas City, MO. Once there and in a room the Hematologists and another team of 5-6 Doctors come in. Todd was given his cancer diagnosis. On April 18, 2025 while testing they found the benign brain tumor. He was also in kidney failure. Lastly, and most sadly, the Leukemia affected his mind. He has had to have Multiple platelet transfusions and blood transfusions. He is on an very intense Infusion Induction (chemo drugs). He is to go a total of 3 years on chemo. In hopes to better his odds of getting a longer life expectancy. During this time he can't work. He thinks he can, and he's going to try... it's a very dangerous job in his position, with his health. One deep scratch &amp; he could bleed to death: no Immune whatsoever Immunocompromised. There is not enough money coming in to even pay rent. So he's going to die trying, I do mean that literally.. He owes February rent and March will be due on the 3rd. At any time, though the Landlords are caring to us, they can evict us. They deserve their money &amp; will get it. The lease is up on May 31, 2026. Todd and his family have nowhere to go. He can't pay rent. He/They have maxed out every credit card just for gas &amp; necessities to get to and from the hospital for treatments 5 days a week or because it's time to get to the E.R. because he's trying to or is dying, again. Todd &amp; his Family will lose everything they ever worked for. From their transport to the home he rents for them, down to everything in it.

<div>I, Jeanie B. Hendrix, am asking you all for a lot!! I'm sorry. I can't even put a number on it but it's a lot. This story started in 2023. It's about CANCER &amp; how it has afflicted a Family of three and has devastated both the Parents. I have even been looking for a bigger construction company, I was told they will build, or give, you a home, big donations and such. I don't know what to do. Please, I beg you. If you can SHARE this. Maybe you have people to share this with that will reshare and spread it far. I've never needed help more in my life. Please share and pray. There are people out there that can do big things. It's hard enough posting this and asking..
