An Update from My Heart ❤️ I never thought I would have to write an update like this, but today I need to be completely honest with all of you. I have been fighting incredibly hard to keep my café open. This business represents so much more than a place where I sell food. It represents my effort to get back on my feet, regain my independence, and build a future for my family again. After approximately 30 years of working professionally in the culinary industry, losing my job was an incredibly difficult blow. Even so, I decided not to give up and started this business from the ground up. I also want to clarify something important: when I say that I currently have a deficit of approximately $4,000 a month, that does not mean that the café itself is losing $4,000 every month. That amount represents the overall gap I am facing when I combine my household expenses, business expenses, and the debts I am still paying. The good news is that I have been growing little by little. Sales have improved, and more people are discovering my food and my café. I know that a new business needs time to grow and become stable, and that is why I don’t want to give up now. The problem is that while that growth is happening, I need to be able to survive and keep the doors open. I have been using my own resources to cover the difference, but I no longer have the ability to keep doing this for much longer. Without help, I will have to close. And saying that breaks my heart because I know how much work, time, sacrifice, and hope I have put into this dream. I don’t want to give up. I want to keep working and growing this business. I am already beginning to see progress, and I truly believe I can make it work. But I need time and a little help to get there. My goal isn’t simply to save a café. It is to regain my financial stability, be able to support myself, and build something for my two children and my grandchild. I don’t want to become a burden to them. I want them to someday look back and know that I did everything I could to move forward and build something that could also benefit them. If you can donate, any amount can make a difference. I am Irene, the owner of a new cafeteria in the area. Opening this place has been a dream come true, and I’ve invested all my savings plus a loan to make it happen. Earlier this year, for the first time in my life, I was fired from my previous job because of my medical condition and the demands of working in a kitchen. Having my own place where I can work at my own rhythm is truly priceless. As a small business, I’m still working hard to grow and attract more customers, but right now, I need some help to keep the doors open and cover essential bills while things get better. The funds raised will help me cover rent for the cafeteria, buy groceries to keep serving homemade food, repay the loans I took to start the business, and pay my house rent and personal bills. I am working here all day with no other income, and I also have MS, which means extra medical expenses and challenges.
