    For sharing a fundraiser.

My name is Ayla Sanli, and I'm the founder of Hope for Turkish Strays, a small rescue organisation dedicated to helping dogs rescued from shelters and difficult circumstances in Turkey. I'm making this appeal to raise £1,200 to bring one of our lovely rescue girls, Bonnie, safely to the UK. Bonnie is one of the dogs we rescued from a municipal shelter in eastern Turkey. She was found with several shotgun pellets lodged in her body after being shot by a farmer. We will never know exactly what happened. Perhaps she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever the reason, no dog deserves to be treated this way. Thankfully, the pellets are not causing Bonnie any problems, and they certainly haven't stopped her from enjoying life. And what a lovely little girl she is! Bonnie is such a pretty, gentle and easy-going dog. She gets along beautifully with people and other dogs, and she's an absolute pleasure to have around. Despite her past, she is friendly, happy and wonderfully sociable. I genuinely believe she'll make a fantastic companion for someone. Bonnie is booked to travel to the UK at the end of November, alongside two of our other rescued dogs, Juno and Dali. Once she arrives, I'll be fostering her personally in my home until we find the right family. Having her here in the UK will make it much easier for potential adopters to meet her and see what a lovely dog she really is. Our fundraising target is £1,200 to cover Bonnie's transport from Turkey to Dover. Thanks to our wonderful supporters, we have already raised the transport costs for Juno and Dali. Now we need to raise Bonnie's £1,200 so she can join them on their journey. I'm asking you to help us get Bonnie here. Whether it's £5, £10, £20 or more, every donation will go directly towards her transport costs. Bonnie is ready for the next chapter of her life. She has so much to offer, and I have no doubt that the right family will absolutely adore her. Please donate whatever you can towards Bonnie's £1,200 travel fund and help us get her safely to Dover at the end of November. Thank you for being part of Bonnie's journey and for supporting Hope for Turkish Strays.
Dear all, We’re a little over halfway there ❤️ Juno’s journey to the UK will cost £1,200 in total. Before we started the fundraiser, one incredibly kind supporter sold her bike and gave £200 directly towards Juno’s transport, leaving £1,000 to raise through GoFundMe. We’re now just over halfway towards that £1,000 target, but time is becoming really important. Juno is due to travel in November, and her transport must be paid in full one month before she travels, so we only have a short window left to raise the remaining amount. We’ve come so far because of everyone’s kindness. Right now, sharing Juno’s fundraiser as widely as possible could make all the difference and help us get that final amount together in time. We’re so close to bringing our girl home. Please keep sharing. ❤️
My name is Ayla, and I am the founder of Hope for Turkish Strays. I rescue and support abandoned and vulnerable dogs in Turkey, giving them the chance of a safe and loving life. I am now raising funds to help Juno travel to the UK in November, where he has been adopted and is waiting for his new life to begin. Juno’s journey started in the most heartbreaking way. As a tiny puppy, Juno was one of six puppies thrown away in a plastic bag at a place where local volunteers regularly fed stray dogs. Whoever left them there knew that volunteers would find them — but these six little lives were still left completely vulnerable. Like many puppies, Juno was energetic, playful and sometimes difficult. He weed, chewed, played, barked and made noise — normal puppy behaviour, but sadly too much for some people. Juno was rehomed locally twice, and both times he was returned because caring for a puppy became a burden. The environment where these puppies had been kept was also far from safe. Although they were supposedly in a secure garden, they were living outside around people drinking and smoking, with other dangers nearby. These little dogs deserved somewhere safe to grow up. So we stepped in and rescued them. And look at Juno now. ❤️ He is happy. He is playful. He rolls around on the grass, runs, explores and enjoys being a dog. After everything he has been through, he finally has the chance of a completely different life. Juno is booked to travel to the UK in November! This is the next and most important step in his journey. Juno has a place waiting for him with a wonderful local charity in the UK, with an experienced rehoming team who have successfully helped rescue dogs find their forever homes. Our dream is simple: Get Juno to the UK in November and, if everything goes to plan, see him in his forever home before Christmas. ❤️ But we need your help to make that possible. The commercial transport from Turkey to Dover costs £1,200. That is a huge amount for one rescue, but together we can make it possible. Whether you can donate £5, £10, £20 or more, every contribution brings Juno closer to his new life. And if you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. One share could reach the person who is able to make the difference. Juno has already survived being abandoned. He has already survived being passed from home to home. He has already waited long enough. Now he deserves the chance to come to the UK, find a loving family and finally know what it feels like to belong. From a tiny puppy thrown away in a plastic bag… to a happy boy running freely!! Please help us complete Juno’s journey and bring home safely! We are forever grateful for your kindness and support xx
MEET GULNIHAL This beautiful girl was rounded up by a dog catcher and taken away to be placed in a kill shelter. Somehow, she managed to escape the van, and thankfully an animal rescuer following behind was able to save her. Like so many dogs in Turkey, Gulnihal's life has been filled with neglect and broken promises People promised her a loving home, daily walks, and a life full of care. Instead, she spent months locked in a small cage, never walked, living in scorching summer heat and freezing winter cold, surrounded by her own waste! When we discovered how she was living, we had to pay to get her back!! Since then, I have done everything possible to give Gulnihal a second chance. She has travelled across Turkey, received all her vaccinations, blood tests, microchip, and everything needed to prepare her for a new life. Most of these costs were covered personally. Thankfully some wonderful people are now helping to cover the remainder of her foster fee until she travels. ✨ And now, after everything she has endured, Gulnihal has finally been offered a loving home in the UK. ✨ A wonderful family is waiting for her. She will have a garden to explore, people to love her, and the life she has always deserved. But there is one final obstacle. Her transport to the UK is booked for August, but the licensed transport cost to Dover is £1,200. We cannot do this alone. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Gulnihal closer to safety, love, and a future she has waited so long for. Please donate if you can, and share this post far and wide. Let's make sure Gulnihal's story ends the way it should—with a family, a home, and a happy life. ❤️ Thank you for your kindness and support.
Dear friend, help is needed for our beautiful Meric once again! You may all remember he was left in a government shelter and not a good one. Yvonne and Keith Gallant offered him a retirement home. He is 9 years old so it was though a retirement home was what was needed. Meric is not ready to retire yet:-) . And Yvonne and Keith have had a lot of health issues so are unable to walk him , he is has not been out for walk since he arrived to them . This is causing some frustration for Meric. So a post went out on Mick Roberts page to find a home. We had a lovely home offer from a lovely guy who has rescued from Turkey before and understands the breed so well . This is definitely Meric last chance at a happy ending. His new owner has paid for his titre test. I have booked his transport for June. I am now praying we can raise some funds towards his travel costs to get him to a home, where he can be truly happy. Yvonne and Keith do love Meric but feel they can not give him what he needs. Please if you can help with a donation towards his transport I would be so grateful . Please donate and/or share as much as possible to help us so Meric's dreams come true; happy ending with a lot of walks:-) Thank you so much for your kindness and support!
