Words can’t explain our pain, as we recently learned that Lei’Lani was intentionally burned on her leg while in her mother’s care. We were told by her aunt (mother’s sister) that a meth-pipe was held to her leg at a family gathering over the holidays. *Attached picture Lei’Lani is only one years old. At this age, children need consistency, protection, and the safety of knowing they are cared for. Instead, within her very first year of life, she has experienced instability at every level. Lei’lani has lived in her mom’s car, harmed by family members, stayed with whomever could watch her, been without her mom for 10-15 days at a time yet out of anger won’t allow father to take her while she gets on her feet. No child should endure this— especially not so young. (and this physical abuse, is just one of the many cases that has been reported to cps by daycare and others) DayShaun, her father loves her deeply. He has missed irreplaceable moments — first words, first steps etc. Leilani’s mother has manipulated the system to her benefit, filed a parenting plan over 200 miles away that we were not aware she was claiming abandonment on Dayshauns part even thought he has been present up until we didn’t know where Lei’Lani was. Now we have to fight to reverse parenting plan and looking to seek full custody until mother (17yrs old) can get on her feet and away from her toxic mother/abuser. Day’Shaun is only 18, but he is determined to provide his daughter with a safe, stable, and loving home. He is fighting not just to protect Lei’Lani but to be present in her everyday life. Time matters. Stability matters. Safety matters. Many of you reached out asking how to support, so I’ve created this page. The funds raised will go toward continuous lawyer expenses and helping him navigate this unimaginable time. If you feel led to give or share, we are deeply grateful. Most of all please keep Lei’Lani in your prayers. ❤️ She is only one year old. She cannot fight for herself. So we are!
