Equally at home in a pair of sparkly dress-up heels or a pair of fishing waders, this creative girl was full of adventure, brimming with joy and had absolutely killer style – nobody has ever rocked an animal print like our beloved Cile Bug and no one ever will. Her bright light will be deeply missed by all who knew her and grieved by a tremendous network of family and friends, as well as many who have been moved by the devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country.

<div>Clara was diagnosed with Essential Tremors and Dystonia, a neurological disorder that slowed her dancing to a halt and no longer allows her to work. She has undergone two Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgeries, but needs ongoing treatment from a neurologist, as well as visits from many specialist physicians, physical therapists, and medications not covered by disability.

<div>Until the disorder made it impossible to carry on, Clara was known for bartending the back bar at the Continental, only to pause, jump on stage, and go-go <span>dance with the band when she heard a song that moved her. Her infectious energy and dancing became part of the show, something band members and customers loved about the Continental experience.

While there is no cure for her condition, funds raised will help improve her quality of life through much-needed therapies and treatment. 

Every $90 covers her out-of-pocket expenses for a session of physical therapy.</span>

<div>If you have followed Clara's story, you know that her life has changed drastically from the Clara you see in this video. I am here reaching out to Clara's friends and family to ask for help to offset the cost of her upcoming brain surgeries.

<div>You know her because your favorite band finds another gear when she jumps onstage to dance. You know her dazzling smile and infectious energy. But our own icon is now cautious about tripping and falling, and the dancing has slowed to a halt. The tremors are notable and have caused multiple debilitating issues in her body (which have required separate recent surgeries.) Both her neurologist and cardiologist have told her she can no longer work full time. The diagnosis of Essential Tremors and Dystonia is serious, however it is not a death sentence. The DBS surgery she faces is cutting edge, and will require several procedures, but the hope is that it allows her to function more independently and return a semblance of her former life.

After being unhoused, and having to resort to spending a night outside at our elementary school, Muriel and her boys, ages 5 and 7, have finally moved into their own apartment and started a new chapter in life.

<div>We’re starting this fundraiser to help our loving parents, who are in a dire financial situation right now. Sadly, our mom is in the final stage of dementia, and our dad has worked tirelessly to sustain them as this awful disease has progressed. A month ago, our mom was approved for hospice, which coincided with our dad getting denied pension from the VA. (We had been certain he would get this because he is a war time Vietnam veteran.) Unfortunately the social security money they receive from the government is not able to support them on a month basis, so we are looking for support from our beautiful community to cover the deficit that will now be occurring. Any amount you can offer would really help our dad continue to care for our mom. It is important that our dad is able to give back to those able to contribute significantly. He has always been an artist, drawing from what is around him at the beach or at a cafe. We have set up an Instagram account with his work you can peruse: @sketchesfromaustin. He’s doing a lot of drawings right now of our mom, as he’s not able to leave her side now for very long. So, to give back, we are setting up the thresholds below as offerings.

Urgent help needed for our mom

<div>we are the parents of 4 of the survivors of room 112, our kids have been through so much this last year. They continue to fight for their recovery everyone knows May 24 is coming and they aren’t looking forward for the one-year mark. Our kids came up with a plan to take a trip to get out of Uvalde. They have goals to reach to make it to Disneyland. If you would like to help them we would appreciate it. Anything helps.

<div>It is with great sadness that we are typing this. Our dad suffered a house fire on Feb. 17th and lost a great deal of his home/belongings. The fire started around 11pm and completely took out parts of the roof, the loft in his home, the kitchen, etc. In typical Bobby fashion, he tried to contain the fire himself before calling 911. The firefighters didn't arrive until about 4am, so the fire was active for many hours before they arrived. He was taken to the hospital this morning to be monitored and will have to meet with specialists and a cardiologist this upcoming week.

<div>For those that are maybe not so familiar with @indianspringsranch, Bobby is the man behind it all. He’s collected exotic animals his entire adult life and has committed more time caring for his animals than anything else. From building fences, enclosures, sheds, barns, to making daily trips to the food bank to take away the wasted food so that he can transport it back to the ranch to feed our animals, every move he makes is for the animals otherwise known as, his pets. At the end of the day, his every move is dependent on the animals. He hasn’t spent the night anywhere other than the ranch in years! His dedication to his animals is admirable and we love him for it. That being said- he puts them before himself at times, and this is one of those times. For a man who would give his life for his animals, he very well could have lost his life in the events that transpired.

<div>Bobby lives in a literal tree house built from his own two hands. As you can imagine, living in a tree house isn’t something that insurance companies cover, so everything is on him(us) after this horrible situation. The damage caused from the fire started in his fireplace which took out the upstairs loft, roof, his kitchen, and parts of the living room. His plans are to take out the loft, and rebuild the kitchen, roof and the walls. What you don’t see, is that he plans to do this alone. The cabinetry needs to be replaced, the roof replaced, couches, walls, insulation, and so much more. If we can raise enough money, our plan would be so much more than just rebuilding his tree house. He needs to be on the ground, and if we can make it happen, our goal would be to get him a modular home or double wide so he isn’t burdened with these repairs.

<div>All things considered, we are lucky he is up walking, talking, and most importantly breathing. The road to recovery, however, will take time. He is now in need of basic items such as a proper remediation process and proper home cleaning along with the materials to rebuild/repair the home from what is repairable (if not a whole new home). We are asking for any monetary donations to help him get through this. He is too prideful to ask for help, but we’re not. He's our dad and we would do anything for him. If you are able, any dollar helps. We truly don't know the extent of the damage and funding this will take to get him back up and running. All we know is that he is alive and at the end of the day, that's all that matters. He was more concerned about his animals missing a feeding than going to the hospital earlier today... if you know him, you know those animals are his life and he would do anything for them. But he is OUR life, and I don't want him to overextend himself. We want to get him proper help and not feel like he has to do it alone. If there was no Bobby, there would be no ISR.

Help Bobby Pospisil Recover from a house fire

<div>Our dear friend Erika was diagnosed with breast cancer a few short weeks ago, and she’s scheduled to have a double mastectomy next Monday the 14th. We want to raise this money to fund Erika’s recovery and to defray medical costs over the next few months. Erika and Jody have three active awesome children, Zadie, Jude, and Asher. Jody’s job requires him to spend weeks at a time working out of town and this fund would allow him to stay home, which will be essential while Erika is recovering. Let’s use our resources to support our amazing friend during this trying time!

<div>Erika’s current diagnosis, based on a single biopsy, is ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). The MRI shows there are several tumors and almost half of her right breast tissue is abnormal. Due to the size of the area affected, her doctor is recommending a double mastectomy.
</div>
<div>Her oncologist said there is no way to really know if the cancer is invasive or non-invasive at this point, but we are optimistic it hasn’t spread. We will know for sure in 3 to 5 days after the mastectomy when pathology comes back.
</div>
<div>If it turns out to be invasive, about a month later, she would start treatment, which would consist of five months of chemo infusions and six weeks of radiation.
</div>
<div>If it’s non-invasive, then she will be scheduled for reconstruction surgery in February. This page will be updated as we get more information about where she is on her path to beating this this completely.
</div>

<div>As all of you who know her can attest to, Erika can handle more of what life gives her than the average person. Despite the shock of this news, she is not even entertaining the option of not beating this cancer. Her will is strong, and so is her community of support. For so many friends and family, Geoff Guerrero has always been one of them. He is a quick-to-laugh, fun-loving father of two toddler boys who loves his wife madly. He rarely needs help—he can handle anything. In fact, he usually has a baby strapped to his chest while he's grilling you a steak and opening you a cold beer. He never sweats the small stuff, and puts everyone around him in a better mood—even when the Dallas Cowboys are making it very difficult. Well now he needs our help. On February 16, 2017, Geoff was seriously injured in a cycling accident in Austin. We are so grateful that he is alive to watch his sons grow up; it is an incredible blessing. However, the damage to his spinal cord and vertebrae will likely change his life, and his family's life, forever. So many people have reached out to ask how they can help. This will be a long road ahead, with major expenses no one could have seen coming: making their home accessible, months of rehab, a specialized vehicle, and childcare are a few needs in the short term. When he isn’t battling dinosaurs and armies of transformers, he’s stomping in the mud with his pig, chasing his chickens around the backyard, fighting off sharks in the swimming pool, or playing hide and seek with his cat Steven.<br /><br />But behind that rough and tumble exterior, is the sweetest little boy you could ever hope to know. He loves his family with all his heart, and loves nothing more than when they’re all together in one place. He can light up a room with his smile, and his hugs can make any bad day better. His joyful energy is infectious, and touches anyone he comes in contact with.<br /><br />So when his family found out that Landon has a heart condition that will eventually hinder his vibrant spirit or worse, they had to take action. <br /><br />Landon actually suffers from two congenital heart conditions. The first, Sinus Venosus ASD, is basically a hole in his heart. The hole is in the septum, which separates the two upper chambers of the heart. This means that oxygen-rich blood that should be flowing to the body cannot do so correctly. Essentially, the heart has to work harder. Coupled with that, Landon also has Anomalous Right Upper Pulmonary Veins. This means that some of the pulmonary veins that bring oxygenated blood back to Landon’s heart are going to the wrong place, so the blood isn’t getting where it needs to go in the body. <br />While Landon doesn’t suffer from symptoms now, if it is left untreated, he could eventually suffer a number of symptoms including extreme fatigue, blood and fluid buildup in the lungs and/or body, or congestive heart failure. Landon’s doctors have decided that open-heart surgery is the best option for him to live a healthy, normal, and most importantly, vivacious life.<br /> The family is very thankful that Landon was diagnosed at such a young age so that this can be fixed. While open heart surgery is scary, especially on a child, he will be in the extremely capable hands of the surgeons at Texas Children’s Medical in Houston. In order to have this surgery, Landon and his family will travel to Houston and stay there for over two weeks while Landon recovers. They will be away from home at Christmas, staying at an apartment close to the hospital in case there are any complications post-op. Landon will be on bed rest for 4-6 weeks while he recovers from his surgery, which will not  be easy for such a rambunctious little boy.<br /><br />We are asking for you to come together to help Landon and his family during this time. The expenses of the surgery and living away from home, coupled with the holidays, is going to be a big burden on the family, and we are asking for your help during their time of need. No amount is too small. Even if it’s just providing Landon with some fun entertainment options while lying in bed recovering, we know the family will deeply appreciate it.
