He has always shown up for others, offering help, encouragement, and compassion even when life hasn’t been easy for him. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

<div>Rome is just 25 years old, and he’s courageously battling <strong>Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease (bilateral)</strong>, meaning both of his kidneys are severely affected. This condition is irreversible, and he is now at a very critical stage. Every day, he must take at least 14 different medications just to slow down the progression to Stage 5, which would eventually require dialysis or a kidney transplant.

<div>The cost of daily medications, frequent lab tests, and doctor visits has become overwhelming for Rome and his family. Despite the physical pain and financial burden, he continues to fight each day with quiet strength and determination, doing his best to live as normal a life as possible.

Help Support Rome in His Fight Against Stage 4 CKD

<div>Our precious baby Jillian has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. It took some time for doctors to correctly diagnose her, and during those crucial days, she was kept in a regular room. When her condition worsened, she was transferred to the ICU. By day one in the ICU, her health insurance had already been maxed out.

<div>Initially, comfort care was considered, but Jillian is showing us her strength. Despite the pain from the cancer and severe oral thrush, she continues to drink her milk, proving that she is a fighter. One glimmer of hope we hold onto is that the younger a child is, the better the prognosis for neuroblastoma. This is why we are fighting alongside her with everything we have.

<div>Jillian is now undergoing chemotherapy, and we are doing everything possible to help her beat this. However, the reality of the hospital system in the Philippines is that a family member must be with the patient at all times. Unlike in Western hospitals where nurses and doctors provide continuous care, Jillian's mom has had to stop working in order to be by her side 24/7.

Support Baby Jillian's Cancer Fight

<div>Hello, my name is Mayen and I am the eldest sister of Yvette . Yesterday , she suddenly complained of a massive headache and started throwing up uncontrollably. She was with our other sister , Lally , who was all too familiar with the symptoms, as she had a ruptured aneurysm about 5 years ago. She rushed Yvette to the ER and because of our family history , they did a CT scan on her . The initial findings showed a subarachnoid hemorrage and needed further evaluation .

<div>She was transferred to Cardinal Santos Medical Center , where the doctor who treated Lally before , practices. During this time she has been asleep and would occasionally mumble and open her eyes .
</div>
<div>She underwent another CT scan this time with angiography , and they recommended that she would be getting a coil to stop and secure the ruptured aneurysm .

<div>We were told the procedure is quite expensive , starting at $16000 just for the procedure alone . They asked for a $1000 deposit to get the procedure done and we immediately said yes to get Yvette 's brain bleed stopped and secured. We havent gathered the funds yet for the rest of the cost but we gave the go signal for the earliest surgery possible , because every second was precious . We estimated that her total hospitalization might be twice this amount . However we have faith that everything will fall into place. We need her to be well FIRST.

<div>Thankfully they got her in the operating room at 3pm and got out three hours after -- the operation was successful , the neurosurgeon said ! We are all grateful for this development .
</div>
<div>She was taken to the ICU after her procedure , she will be there for another two weeks for recovery .

<div>We were told that she had substantial bleeding in her brain . The body will eventually take care of the blood left , but that will also take time. She may still experience symptoms, headaches, dizziness and disorientation. We hope she doesn't develop siezures. We pray that her recovery will be complete and the happy, quirky BTS-loving Yvette we know will be back in no time .

<div>Yvette is a much loved teacher ! She has been teaching for the past two decades now . She currently works at Xavier School and previously worked at Colegio San Agustin and has touched many teachers' and students' lives .I pray that she will recover fully and continue living her life as she touches so many others along the way .

Yvette's brain surgery from a ruptured aneurysm

This beautiful teenage girl is Shindale “Alex” Ladrillono. She is a loving person with such an angelic soul. I fell in love with her through video chats and pictures of being good friends with her mom. I’ve never loved a person without a meeting, but with her, my heart was all in just by seeing the look in her eyes and her sharing her current life experiences with me. <br /><br />Last September, Alex grew a pain in her stomach that became unbearable. She went to the doctors and they decided to run tests. Alex found out her body was growing a tumor and not long afterward, found out it was cancerous. She has traveled to see doctors hours away and has even gone to a different state to fight this fight to be cured. Six hours away from home and a 3-month stay in a hotel, she went through pain and suffering from Chemotherapy along with surgeries and had lost her hair in patches through the process. I can still remember her face when she began losing her hair, she's that strong girl that took the initiative with a hair clipper, finished the job, cried, and held Faith so strong onto God. She has missed birthdays, holidays, family events in hopes to be cured; in December 2019, we found out she was CANCER FREE. We cried in joy and thanked the Lord. <br /><br />April 2020, at a regular doctor checkup, she received abnormal test results. Again, they ran tests… to find out there was another cancerous tumor growing in a different location of her body. She has traveled from Alaska to Colorado for a months’ stay and recently 6 hours away from home for appts every month for checkups. With so many appts and her condition, her mother decided to stop working for the time being. Just this last week, we found out Alex’s medication isn’t fitted for her and her tumor is growing; doctors took her off her meds, and is seeking more help from a hospital in Memphis, TN where they will soon be traveling to.<br /><br />With a single income for a family of six for over a year, times have hit hard. Along with their long commutes, her Mom (Jazz), Dad (Big Alex), and three siblings are exhausted from constant heartbreak from doctors. Although their medical insurance helps, it only provides so much for this family. We are asking kindheartedly for a bit of help for Alex. Whether that’s if you’re able to donate a dollar or if you send prayers up for her. She needs as much support as possible and we are willing to take all that it takes to help her fight, and when there’s no more fight left, we are going to fight some more and hold God's hand tighter than ever. We want Alex home with her family, enjoying her teenage life. <br /><br />Funds donated will be used for her travel and stay to Tennessee, food, hotel stay, and everything in-between to help this family.
