<div>This is the official fundraiser created by members of the Basmajian family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On behalf of the family,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our family is devastated by the tragic loss of Khajag Basmajian (31), his wife Marine (29), their son Alec (2), and their newborn daughter Ella just 6 days old. In a single moment, we lost an entire young family who were deeply loved by everyone who knew them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Khajag was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and friend. To know him is to love him. With a beaming smile on his face and a positive outlook on life, he was truly a friend you could count on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Marine was a caring mother and wife who found comfort in organization and enjoyed gatherings among her loved ones. Alec brought joy and laughter wherever he went. With his bright smile and cheerful eyes taking after his father, he loved his toy vehicles and getting a taste for life one bite at a time (ice cream was his favorite). Alec couldn't wait to meet his baby sister Ella who only lived to see the world Earth side for 6 days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As we face the unimaginable task of honoring and laying four beloved family members to rest, we are asking for support to help cover funeral and memorial and other unexpected expenses during this difficult time
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to help support our family can focus on healing, remembering their lives, and preserving their legacy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, prayer, and share is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us honor the memory of Khajag, Marine, Alec, and Ella.

<div>Update:
</div>
<div>Big News: Honoring Kali by Launching Coloring Kali’s World Foundation – No Family Left Behind
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dear Amazing Supporters,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Because of your generosity, love, and shares, we successfully raised $25,000 (and more through additional gifts) to give my beautiful daughter Kali Ashley the peaceful, dignified farewell she deserved. Kali was laid to rest on December 30, 2025, at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, surrounded by the love and memories she inspired.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here’s the full, transparent breakdown of how every dollar was used (total expenses ~$30,577.55):
</div>
<div>- Cemetery &amp; Funeral Home Bill (Inglewood Park Cemetery): $25,577.55 – This covered the double interment privilege grave ($19,354.50 incl. tax), endowment care ($1,935.45), interment/recording fees ($1,424.50), standard white vault ($970.00), granite memorial tablet ($1,124.55), and other surcharges. Paid in full on December 15, 2025.
</div>
<div>- Flowers for the Service: $1,200 – Beautiful arrangements to reflect Kali’s vibrant, colorful spirit.
</div>
<div>- Obituary Printing &amp; Distribution: $500 – Design, local papers, and online placement to share her story.
</div>
<div>- Horse-Drawn Carriage Procession: $2,500 – A special, magical touch for her send-off.
</div>
<div>- Dove Release: $800 – Symbolic release representing peace and Kali’s free spirit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The original GoFundMe covered the core $25,000, with the small overage met by personal funds and extra donor contributions. Everything was handled with care, and I’m forever grateful—no words can express what your support meant during the darkest days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, with Kali’s burial complete, I’m channeling this momentum into something lasting: launching the Coloring Kali’s World Foundation – “No Family Left Behind: Support, Scholarships, and Justice.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kali’s preventable loss from a severe asthma attack during a court-ordered visitation—despite my repeated warnings to the family court about her life-threatening condition—has shown me how broken systems can fail our most vulnerable children. This foundation will honor her by fighting for change so no other family endures this pain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ll provide:
</div>
<div>- Mediation, counseling, and reunification therapy
</div>
<div>- Financial aid for court/emergency costs
</div>
<div>- Education on parenting, legal rights, and chronic conditions like asthma
</div>
<div>- Legal/document support, childcare during hearings, and transportation
</div>
<div>- Advocacy for fair representation and judicial accountability
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ll award scholarships to medical students from impacted families, and create awareness tools like coloring books to educate about asthma and more.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A key focus is Kali’s Law—model legislation mandating courts prioritize treating physicians’ recommendations, require emergency medical plans, recognize medically vulnerable children, and ensure accountability for ignoring evidence. We’ll start in Nevada (where Kali’s case happened), build coalitions, and push for state passage—then escalate to Capitol Hill and adapt internationally through partnerships.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To make this real, I’ve evolved the campaign to a $100,000 goal for the foundation’s first-year startup as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This covers incorporation ($1,500), legal/professional fees ($10,000), website/marketing ($5,000), program startup/family support ($30,000), initial scholarship ($20,000), advocacy initiatives ($15,000), lobbying for Kali’s Law ($15,000), and operations ($3,500). Full details in the main story—updates will follow every milestone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donations remain on this same campaign (no need to start a new one).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your continued belief in Kali’s legacy means everything. Let’s turn grief into global justice—no family left behind. Share widely, and thank you for keeping her light shining.

No Family Left Behind: Coloring Kali’s World

<div>My husband Scott and I have been residents of Altadena since 1997 when we bought our first home at 441 Punahou Street. This home that we raised our two kids in is completely gone. I have been told that every home on Punahou Street is burned to the ground. Our community of Altadena and Pasadena is decimated, with many businesses also burned to the ground.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have been privileged to live in this community and form beautiful friendships from our time at Hastings Ranch Coop Preschool to our time with our dear PUSD family from kindergarten to high school. We have had cherished gatherings at our home with friends and family for so many milestone celebrations: birthdays, our kids' first steps, middle school meet &amp; greets, marching band parties, pre-prom photo ops, and more.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Scott, Ella, Isaak, and I are all firm believers in our community, and we are moving forward, holding our memories near (if only in our hearts) while rebuilding our lives. <strong>Whatever amount you are willing to donate towards any unmet needs not covered by insurance and disaster relief aid is greatly appreciated. </strong>We have been told that the process could take at much as 4 to 6 years. The funds donated to our family will be used for temporary needs such as food, shelter, clothing etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude, Angie, Scott, Ella and Isaak Uriu

Help the Uriu Family Recover from Eaton Fire in Altadena

<div>My name is Yi-Hsiu Yeh, an educator and architect in Los Angeles. I am starting this GoFundMe for <strong>Hector Solis and Jessica Turner</strong>, who lost everything to the fire in Altadena on 01/07/2025.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have known Hector and Jessica for 17 years since started teaching at Woodbury University, and Hector was my student and teaching assistant. The couple became my dear friends over the years after their graduation. Hector has been a serious builder/artisan and has become a dear friend, confidant, archivist, and colleague to many of his mentors, including the late Dean Norman Millar, Professor Louis Molina and Professor Mary-Ann Ray &amp; the late Professor Robert Mangurian. Jessica has been working in the fashion industry and is the wise and supportive partner, and they have worked hard together to build their life in Altadena.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know Hector and Jessica would never ask for help themselves but would generously help others if they had not been in this situation. That's why I am asking for your donation on their behalf.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to their home's proximity to the fire's origin, they had to evacuate so quickly that they did not take anything with them. <strong>They lost all their tools and living necessities.</strong> These donations will go towards supporting them in getting back on their feet — a temporary place to stay, food and clothing, and some tools to resume work. Whatever you can give helps.
</div>

Support Hector and Jessica's Recovery Journey

<div>It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart to inform you that on March 24, 2022, Sera Aintablian, a loving daughter, a dibar scout and girl scout leader, an “ungeroohi”, UCLA student, and role model, tragically passed away in an accident. Sera was a gifted and accomplished student with a bright future. She was valedictorian of her high school graduating class and was attending UCLA as a pre-med microbiology major, aspiring to become a doctor. Sera was one of the most selfless, kind, and uplifting individuals we had the opportunity to meet.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">Sera was always committed to helping her community and her nation. The impact she left on us, and the Armenian community will never be forgotten. The Aintablian family will use the proceeds to continue to support the Armenian community on behalf of the Sera Aintablian Memorial Fund. These funds will be utilized to give back to the programs Sera was passionate about and cherished and will aid various charities including children with special needs, and more. Please join us in remembering Sera and continuing her legacy by helping the Armenian community abroad and in Armenia.</span>

In Loving Memory of Sera Aintablian

<p>The money donated to this GoFundMe will support Aris’ family in attorney fees to bring Aris justice.<br /><br />Aris Keshishian is a 20-year-old young man, kid at heart, who is full of love and gratitude. His soul was a precious gift in our home, he is loved and deserves eternal life and justice from the world. His mother Guyaneh, father Henry, &amp; sister Adrineh are left with this incomprehensible, heinous event stained on their hearts.<br /><br /><br />On Thursday March 10, 2022, a Preliminary Hearing took place for Aris’ murderer, Kellon Razdan, and the Court found that the District Attorney had enough evidence to move the matter to trial.  At the preliminary hearing, the District Attorney called several witnesses to the stand, including Aris’ father, Henrik Keshishian, Aris’ neighbor who walked in on the murder taking place and called 911, the medical examiner, and the responding and investigating detectives.   A street video was played at the hearing which recorded the audio of the ambush and the cold murder, including Aris screaming “Help me! Please help me!” as the neighbor approached him as he was being stabbed, his final words, which were “Tell my mother I love her” and “Tell my family I love them”, and the 911 audio recording which also captured the haunting cries of Aris’ father, Henrik, running to the crime scene and finding his son on his last breaths of life. Aris was found in a massive pool of blood and his clothes were in the middle of the street.<br /><br /><br />The perpetrator, Kellon Razdan had no apparent motive for the crime.  Evidence showed Razdan waited near the back entrance of Aris’ gated community and waited for someone to exit the community so that he could enter the gate. He has told detectives that his intention was to go to the Keshishian home. Razdan lived just over two miles away, and was only in the neighborhood for a total of five minutes, during which, this senseless murder took place.<br /> <br /><br />Aris had 44 stab wounds.  The wound severity ranged from a drag and a scratch to seven-and-a-half inch punctures. Aris had three fatal wounds, two in his back and one on the lower abdomen. The medical examiner noted that out of the 4,000 autopsies he has conducted, this was the first he had encountered with over 40  wounds. The medical examiner concluded that Aris had died by homicide due to an extreme amount of blood loss.<br /><br /><br />Razdan attended the hearing in person.  His family were in the audience supporting him.  He showed no emotion as the district attorney put on the case, with Aris’ family bawling in shock as the evidence was presented in front of them.  This is a haunting case, a senseless murder, and one that should receive coverage. The family is open to interviews and want Aris to be remembered for who he was, and not the way he was unfairly stolen from them.<br /><br /><br /><br />We are asking all those who know him to write impact statements ASAP... for the judge to read during sentencing. If you know anything about Kellon and his character, please write on that matter as well... Address letters to the judge ("Dear Judge") and explain what Aris' life means to you,  how the loss of his life will impact you, and furthermore, why you believe his murderer should receive the max sentencing allowable by law. Please email to <a href="http://gmail.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">[email redacted]</a> (If email is hidden here, you may message me via Instagram).<br /><br />
</p>

<p>"All who know our son Aris describe him as a genuine,  caring, and affectionate person; always gentle and never without humor; honest, loving, and extremely respectful. Aris’ family was the most important thing to him. Aris was markedly close with his mother. He never wasted an opportunity to show someone that they were important and cared for, and he practically did everything for his grandparents. Aris was the peacemaker and brought encouragement and laughter to everyone’s life. Aris kept the same friends that he grew up with, and they have become family as well."
</p>

<p>"My cousin Aris was my brother and living with him, knowing him since the minute I was born, I know Goji loved and respected everyone he met and everyone that met him thought the same way. Aris was the type of person to be there for you no matter what it was or where you were. But my brother Aris was taken from us, the crazy part is that Aris never had any problems with anyone. That's what I'm trying to get my head around... why out of everyone would anyone pick Aris to be their victim?"
</p>

<p><br />"A true brother in crime, Aris was a ride or die, he would never let anyone down, no matter the relation. He would never fail to bring a smile to any soul. Anytime Aris entered a room, a light shining brighter than the sun would trail behind him. The only thing that can compare to the love Aris had for his family was the love he had for his little baby dog...his dog that will live on wondering if his beloved owner will ever walk back through those doors. Aris's love and affection will live on, and radiate off his baby Truffle. The effect that Aris had on the lives of everyone he encountered through out his short but impactful life, will never ever be forgotten." <br /><br /><br />
