<div>In the early morning hours of September 9th, <strong>Stacie’s husband, Logan, suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke</strong> while she was abroad in Australia. Fortunately, her mother-in-law was in town, found him on the floor, and quickly called 911 to give Logan a fighting chance.

<div>Logan has been in very critical condition since Monday and is fighting for his life. The last week has brought a rollercoaster of progress and challenges, and the journey forward is incredibly uncertain at this time.

<div>We are deeply saddened to share that our sister, Jacqueline (Jackie), was nine months pregnant and one week from her due date, when she suffered an aneurysm rupture, leading to severe brain bleeding and injury. Jackie was found immediately by her husband, Austin, and was rushed to the emergency room and into an operation where they performed an emergency C-section and brain surgery simultaneously.

<div>Twelve days after this incident, Jackie remains in a medically induced coma and has undergone five separate brain procedures. Jackie is expected to remain in the ICU for weeks and will continue to be hospitalized for months. The baby girl remained in the NICU after 12 days due to the traumatic events of her birth. This picture at the top of this page was the first time Jackie, while in a coma, met her newborn baby.

<div>Jackie’s husband and family have not left her side since the incident. They are navigating taking care of a newborn in the ICU while fighting to keep Jackie alive.

<div>If Jackie and the baby arrived a few minutes later at the hospital, we likely would have lost both of them. But instead, Jackie is continuing to fight for her life each day and we are optimistic she can beat the odds by surrounding her with the right specialists and methods of therapy. While the road will be long, we are committed to bringing Jackie home to her daughter and husband.

<div>This GoFundMe campaign was started to provide a way for family and friends to help Jackie secure the highest level of care. In addition to what insurance can cover, the family has been advised to expect significant outside costs related to speech therapy, physical therapy, home modifications, and alternative therapies once we realize the severity of her deficits. These funds will help Jackie’s long-term recovery and quality of life as a new mother. Any funds that remain unused will be donated to similar families in need or related charities.

<div>Hi, the Naticook neighborhood in Litchfield NH has a very close group of neighbors that are always here for each other. Our friends Jim and Lisa Carty lost their home to what started as a chimney fire, then eventually took the entire home and is a total loss. Lisa was barefoot in a sweatshirt standing in the cold rain watching their lifelong home burn down. This fund is to just help them with replacing clothes and necessities while they work things out with the insurance company.

Help the Carty Family House Fire fund

<p>Let me tell you about two of my friends. Morgan is on the management staff at a local Chicago bar, and Dustin is a successful event DJ. They have been out of work since March of this year.


</p>



<p>Covid-19 has put millions of people out of work, especially in the service industry.  Morgan and Dustin Drase are, in some ways, a typical pair just trying to make ends meet during an extraordinary time just like countless others. 


</p>



<p>However,  there is nothing typical about them. 


</p>



<p>Instead of reaching out for themselves, they have donated their time, energy, and in some cases the limited resources they do have to help causes of extreme need throughout Chicago. They have done Twitch.tv stream benefits and have organized donations for other furloughed workers. They have also used their platform to highlight the LGBTQ Freedom Fund, Black Youth Project 100, Black Visions Collective, the West River Bail Fund, and many others at a time where donations are understandably at an all-time low. <br /><br />They've spent the past 8 months looking out for others, despite losing their own livelihoods and being pushed to the breaking point themselves. They will be spending Christmas by themselves, without gifts, without family, without Christmas dinner, and without anything that I personally (and many of us) have come to take for granted as a given every year. This just isn't right, and I think it's time that we step up for them. Here's how:

<p>- I will be asking us to raise $2,000 and 100% of it will be going to Dustin and Morgan Drase on Christmas Eve! <br />- I will be matching the first thousand in donations. <br />- The fundraiser will be open until the final amount is triggered or December 23 arrives. <br />- This money will pay for their rent, groceries, bills (phone, heat, electricity) for the next several months, and maybe even allow them to do something a bit nice for themselves on Christmas <br />- I'm going to trigger the first tier at $1,000 so that, at the very least, I can match that and give them $2k. I know times are hard, so the original goal may be too ambitious, but even two thousand will go a LONG way!

<p>These two have become two of my best friends. They have been there for me in ways they don't even know or realize, and at times where things were incredibly bleak and dark for me. I want them to feel the love and have some evidence that, even during the worst year in recent memory, people will jump forward to help when given the opportunity and that being good to others (as they have been time and time again) really is its own reward. <br /><br />I'm asking you to dig deep. I know it's hard, but if you are not in a financial crisis this Christmas and are lucky enough to be working (as I am), I really encourage you to give out of the goodness of your heart and in the spirit of the season's sentiment. It would mean the world to me and to them!

Xmas Relief for Furloughed Bar Pals

<br />Avery was born December 4, 2015. On 12/7 she showed seizure activity. soon after she was diagnosed with CHD-She has a hypo plastic aortic valve and arch(small and underdeveloped), coarc, ASD&amp;VSD(holes in her heart) pda, and LVOTO(obstructed flow of blood through left ventricle) She had surgery 12/15 on many of the defects. She came back on ECMO(life support) to allow her heart to rest/heal. She was in the CICU at Boston children's for 4.5 weeks then was moved to the step down unit. 2/1 she had surgery to place a g tube for feeding. 2/6 she came home with the understanding that more surgery will be needed at some point. Avery thrived at home and almost doubled her weight. 3/31 while battling a cold, Avery had an incident of turning purple and was taken to the ER locally then transferred back to Boston- it was determined her heart was showing signs of needing the 2nd surgery. However, they were unable to do it right away as Avery caught paraflu--she was stable so we went home to give her time to recover. 4/29 she had her next surgery-Ross procedure-to attempt to replace her aortic valve and improve her hearts severe disfunction. While surgery went well due to her heart being very sick she came back on the ECMO machine again. She was struggling to improve and discussion turned to a 3rd surgery(very high risk bc she was so sick) and possibly a transplant. On 5/4--Avery decided she was done with ECMO and her heart function had improved dramatically so surgery was put on hold. she has continued to remain on a ventilator and sedated but has been improving steadily. Avery will likely need a pacemaker and will still need several more surgeries and a possible transplant down the line as she grows. Both of Avery's parents are working hard to pay bills at home as well as lodging, food, and have expenses to be there for their precious little angel.
