In a small rescue in Romania, one remarkable woman has dedicated her life to saving abandoned, abused and neglected animals. Every day she feeds them, treats their injuries, comforts the frightened and gives them hope for a better future. But while she gives everything to the animals, she has very little for herself. We are raising £2,000 to buy a caravan that will allow her to live at the rescue alongside the animals she has devoted her life to protecting. Having a caravan on-site would mean she can: * Be there 24 hours a day for emergencies. * Care for sick and vulnerable animals through the night. * Keep the rescue secure. * Have a safe, warm place to sleep during Romania’s freezing winters and scorching summers. * Continue rescuing animals without worrying about where she will live. At Theea’s Rescue, we dedicate our lives to saving and caring for Romanian rescue dogs. We are currently home to over 100 incredible dogs who have nowhere else to go. As a rescue funded solely by donations, every meal, medical bill, and bit of shelter comes directly from the kindness of supporters like you. While our fenced-in play and living areas keep our dogs secure and safe, our current infrastructure is failing them, and we urgently need your help. The Urgent Problem We Face Our temporary shelters are no longer standing up to the harsh Romanian weather: Torn & Destroyed Roofs: Our current shelters rely on plastic tarps that have been shredded by severe winds, rain, and snow. Right now, our dogs have zero protection from freezing rain and snow in the winter, and no shade from the scorching sun in the summer. Mud & Waste Accumulation: The ground in the enclosures is dirt and mud. When it rains, the area turns into a bog, making it impossible to clean effectively and leaving the dogs sleeping and walking in wet, dirty conditions. Decaying Kennels: Our current wooden kennel boxes are rotting and rapidly degrading due to constant moisture. Our dogs are safe from the streets, but they deserve to be dry, warm, and comfortable. How Your Donations Will Be Used We are raising funds to completely overhaul our living spaces and give our 100+ dogs the clean, safe environment they deserve. Here is our action plan: Build a Permanent Roof (Top Priority): Construct a solid, weather-proof roof over the entire housing area to provide reliable protection from snow, rain, and heat. Concreting the Floors: Lay down proper cement flooring across the enclosures. This will allow our team to sanitize and wash the area thoroughly every day, keeping the dogs clean and healthy. Build Sturdier, Larger Kennels: Replace the rotting wooden boxes with new, spacious, and weather-resistant kennels where the dogs can curl up safely.
