<div>I, and old nurse who has now officially seen too much, am setting up this account to help a young nurse named Chloe Freeman with legal costs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Upon graduation nurses take an oath to honor a set of ethics, and the nurse's primary commitment to the patient is at the heart of this oath.

<div>
 Ten years ago, my brother made a decision to step away from his career and pursue a very different kind of life. He chose to live off-grid, simplify his life, and dedicate so much of his time and energy to fostering and rescuing dogs. It was a path that reflected who he is: independent, resourceful, compassionate, and deeply committed to the things that matter to him.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 My brother is one of the strongest and smartest people most of us have ever known. He is highly educated, incredibly creative, and someone who has always found his own way through life. He is also a remarkable father and a person whose dedication to helping animals has made a difference in the lives of many dogs over the years.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 But sometimes, even the strongest people face circumstances they cannot overcome on their own.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Earlier this year, my brother suffered a heat stroke and was hospitalized. While he was in the hospital recovering, the Aspen Acres fire happened, and the RV van he called home was destroyed.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 That van was so much more than a vehicle. It was his home, his independence, and the place he had invested the majority of his savings to build a life around. Because he could not afford insurance, the loss was total. There was no insurance payout to help him recover what he had lost.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 In a matter of time, he was faced with recovering from a serious medical emergency while also losing his home and the financial security he had worked so hard to create.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 It is difficult to put into words what that kind of loss does to a person. After spending years building a life on his own terms, he is now facing the overwhelming challenge of figuring out what comes next. The financial strain, the uncertainty of housing, and the emotional weight of everything that has happened have left him in a place where he genuinely needs help.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Asking for help is not always easy, especially for someone who has spent so much of his life being strong, independent, and capable of figuring things out on his own. But none of us should have to face life's hardest moments alone.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 That is why I am starting this fundraiser.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The money raised will help provide him with stable housing, cover essential living expenses, and give him some breathing room as he works toward recovery—physically, emotionally, and financially. It will help take some of the immediate pressure off so he can focus on healing and finding a path forward.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 My brother has spent years giving his time, energy, and heart to animals who needed a safe place and a second chance. He has shown compassion to those who could not help themselves, and he has built a life around doing something he believed was worthwhile.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Now, I hope we can come together to offer some of that same compassion to him.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If you are able to donate, any amount would mean more than you know. Every contribution, no matter the size, can help him take another step toward stability. If you are unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be an enormous help.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 More than anything, I want my brother to know that he is not alone in this. He has spent years being strong, but he should not have to carry all of this by himself.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 He has so much to offer this world, and he deserves the opportunity to recover, rebuild, and find solid ground again.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for taking the time to read his story, for caring, and for helping in whatever way you can. Your kindness and support mean more to our family than words can fully express.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for helping my brother find a way forward, one step at a time.
</div>
<div>
 <br>

Help my brother rebuild his life

<div>
 My bottle baby donkey “HeeHaw” was killed in his own pasture on Saturday night by trespassing cops. He was a loved member of our family and did many petting zoos and made many people smile.<br />

</div>

<div><span><br /></span>

</div>

<div><span>We will be using any donations left for the farm, care of the animals, a fund for making a HeeHaw foundation and none of it for our personal needs. This is not a pay day for us.  Thank y'all so much for your support.</span><br />

Beaver’s Mini Mart has been a staple in Beavercreek, Ohio, serving the local community with care and dedication. The owner is a hardworking member of our town, always ready to lend a hand and provide a welcoming place for neighbors to gather. Now, the mini mart is facing an unexpected challenge that threatens its future.
<br />
<br />
 Bucc-ees, a large chain, has filed a lawsuit against Beaver’s Mini Mart, claiming that the store's cartoon beaver logo infringes on its trademark. Despite the fact that the two logos look nothing alike, the mini mart is being forced to defend itself in court. Legal fees are mounting, and the risk of losing this beloved local business is real. The mini mart needs our support to stand up against this big chain and protect what makes our community unique.
<br />
<br />
 We need your help to keep our small town community Beaver’s Mini Mart open. By donating, you are taking a stand with us to ensure that small mom and pop stores—like Beaver’s Mini Mart, the backbone of America—are not swallowed up by big businesses. Every contribution will go directly toward legal fees, helping the mini mart fight for its right to stay open and continue serving Beavercreek. Please join us in supporting this important cause and preserving the heart of our community.

<div>Teenagers. Students. Members of our community. During a recent student protest in Quakertown, several minors were arrested following a law enforcement response that involved significant physical engagement with students. Video from the scene shows officers physically restraining teenagers, including a young female student who was brought to the ground. Some students required medical evaluation following the incident. These are high school students — not hardened criminals. They are now facing legal proceedings and the emotional and financial weight that comes with it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Regardless of political perspective, minors deserve access to fair legal representation and support when navigating the justice system. This fund has been created to assist with: attorney fees, court-related expenses, medical costs related to the incident, and support services for affected students.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When young people engage in civic expression, the response should never leave families struggling to afford legal protection. If you believe in due process, proportionality, and the protection of children in our community, please consider contributing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is being managed by The Welcome Project PA, 501(c)3, who will be responsible for equal disbursement of funds to the families of the 5 children arrested. Visit us at <a href="https://welcomeprojectpa.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://welcomeprojectpa.org/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://welcomeprojectpa.org/</a></a> and sign up for our newsletter. Full financial transparency report will be shared after distribution of funds.

Stand with Quakertown Students: Legal Defense

<div>The past two years have taken a toll on One People's Project, particularly in regards to health issues with a number of our members. But we do the work will continue and it must. We will continue our mission and report and cover the hatemongers that try to tear us apart and even with all that we have been dealing with, that has not stopped.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Unfortunately, we are in a crisis situation. Donations and are down and it has been hard to maintain the basic needs to operate.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are finding ourselves in a situation where we need to generate $10,000 in two months, $5000 by Aug. 31. Many are helping out via other our donating platforms namely one on the OPP's website but we wanted to reach more people and make it easier for with other with another way to help, so we started this Go Fund Me. We are appealing to our supporters to help us in the uphill battle and as we are a 501(c)(3) all donations are tax deducible.

<div>We will you all updated here and on our outlet, including our website, social media and our new Substack outlet: idavox.substack.com. We can not thank you more any help you give!

Support One People's Project in Crisis

<div>My friend, Beth Bourdon, has cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve read my reporting, there’s a good chance you've seen Beth's work in it. As my friend and FOIA lawyer, she’s helped me and countless others with records requests pro bono. A career public defender representing poor people who can’t afford a lawyer, Beth is a generous person to her core.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>I’ll tell you a story she’s far too modest to share. One day I was scrolling Twitter and noticed Beth had retweeted a link to a fundraiser for a Twitter nemesis of hers who was raising money for her pet cat’s vet expenses. I messaged Beth, saying I thought they were enemies. They were, she said, but she couldn’t help but feel sorry for the cat that the person had rescued, and donated anonymously.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s who Beth is.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She passed up higher paying jobs in private practice to work a more personally rewarding job defending indigent people. Her job being personally rewarding isn't reflected in her bank account, and now she’s facing what's likely to be between $40,000 to $50,000 in cancer-related expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’d like to ask that you show Beth the same generosity she has quietly shown to so many others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In June she had her first mammogram, which recommended a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. The results of that recommended yet another ultrasound on the left breast and a biopsy on the right breast. On August 1, 2023, Beth went in for her biopsy and was told that it's not a matter of if the cells are cancerous, it's a matter of what type. A few days later, the cancer was typed as Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC; very common). She is ER/PR positive and HER2 negative; both of these things are good, apparently, and her lymph nodes aren't involved. But the doctors wanted an MRI. The MRI recommended an ultrasound biopsy of the left breast and a CT scan of her liver (this is probably a hemangioma that she's been walking around her whole life with).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beth will be having a double mastectomy with immediate reconstructive surgery (tissue expanders), likely in a few weeks, and was told she'll be out of work around 4 weeks after that surgery. She will have to go for several office visits to expand the tissue, and then there will be a follow up surgery to insert medical implants. It's unknown if Beth will need radiation; if she does, that will be 20 treatments. She likely will not need chemo and instead will need to take a hormone blocker daily for 5-7 years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beth likes to joke about being divorced, but the point is that means there's no one earning money to help pay bills while she's out of work (she's burning through all of her paid sick and vacation time for all her appointments), and there's no one at home to care for her while she recovers from both upcoming surgeries. Beth's daughter is going to take time off of her fairly recent job to take care of her mom; since her daughter's job is new, she has very little PTO to cover her time out of work. So, that's two people missing salaries after what will at least be two surgeries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beth has better than average insurance and is currently out of pocket around $800 without any major medical expenses (yet), and she has an upcoming CT scan, a doctor appointment with the plastic surgeon, a doctor appointment with the anesthesiologist, an appointment for bloodwork, then the surgery (three doctors: anesthesiologist, surgical oncologist and reconstructive surgeon) and hospital stay, follow up doctor visits, medication daily for 5 to 7 years, potential radiation treatments, at least one follow up surgery and two weeks out of work for that surgery, various scans and MRIs...
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are so many uncertainties that I'm wanting to give her something certain, so she can focus on healing. I want Beth to know that she doesn't have to worry about missed pay, medical expenses, expenses associated with her care after her surgeries, and her living expenses. That's what this crowdfunding campaign will go to, and all donations are greatly appreciated by me, Beth and her family. I'm asking for $40,000 for her, but I would really like the end goal of this campaign to be $50,000 to ensure everything is more than covered. Beth is the beneficiary of this money and will have complete control over the funds and how they're distributed among her expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks for taking the time to read this campaign. If you know Beth, she doesn't want your last dollar and she doesn't want to take away from a campaign for a person whose needs are greater than hers. For those who are able to donate, she and I thank you for your generosity. For those unable to donate but willing to share a link to this campaign on social media, we thank you for that kindness.

Support Beth's fight against breast cancer

<div>Hey everyone! The Saline County Library Alliance formed to defend and support the Saline County Library from the recent rise of anti-community, extremist attacks on the library and its staff.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They’ve created a hate-filled website, and are advertising it using a billboard in Benton. We’d like to be able to promote the truth about our library using the same method, but we don’t have their funding off-hand.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Billboards in the Benton/Bryant area can cost as much as $4,000 monthly with one quote we received being $3,000. We’re asking for $3500 to meet that quote with a bit of wiggle room if it’s needed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we meet that goal or more, any extra funds will go either toward a longer rental period of the billboard or to other means of community outreach for the SCLA. If we don’t, we’ll put any funds raised toward outreach as well. Regardless, ALL funds raised will be used to notify members of the community about the SCLA and to promote the library and its services.

I'm collecting money for Sherry Ann Faubus, a nurse and lifetime caregiver who lives in Northwest Arkansas. She's spent her entire life caring for others and giving to others now finds herself in need.<br /><br />She has contracted breast cancer and is facing surgery and loss of income while recovering. She has little savings, poor insurance, and has little hope for any help from elsewhere. <br /><br />She hates the idea of having to ask for anything from anybody but cannot imagine how she can survive until she goes back to work. <br />She has been a major life force in community service and healthcare her entire life. If anybody deserves a little minimal help, she does.<br /><br />In a modern country with a compassionate healthcare system, this situation would be intolerable. Unfortunately, we don't live in such a place. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.

Help Sherry Ann Faubus with her medical expenses.

As many of you know Jesse has been in the hospital fighting the effects of covid for 7 months now. He is currently at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. (Admitted on 7/3/2021) A doctor in Houston, Texas has agreed to accept Jesse as a patient to further his care needed at Baylor St Luke’s Medical Center. Jesse will need to be flown with a critical care team to Baylor. Jesse’s family and his fiancé have been by his side the last 7 months without being able to work. Now that they are having to travel to Houston for an undetermined amount of time the financial burden will be even greater. Any money donated will be greatly appreciated and will go toward medical bills and travel/stay expenses for the family to be with him during this difficult time. If anyone wants to donate in other ways than GoFundMe I will also attach other apps that money can be donated.  100 percent of this money will be given to a wonderful family in need during such a very difficult time. Any amount is appreciated. We also would like to ask everyone to continue to pray for Jesse. God still sits on the throne and we are believing and trusting in Him for a complete healing.
