<div>Hi, my name is Anna Allen, and this is the story of me and my two children — a two-year-old and a six-month-old.

<div>Two years ago, I made the life-changing decision to get sober from alcohol. That choice gave me clarity, strength, and the determination to build a better life for my kids. But the road since then has been full of challenges and heartbreak.

<div>During my pregnancy with my son, I lost my nanny and my Papaw — the man who raised me. I cared for him during his final days on hospice while eight months pregnant, working, and raising a toddler. I pushed through grief and exhaustion without much emotional support.

<div>When my son was born, things only became harder. Their father admitted he was in a relationship with his best friend and told me that if I couldn’t accept it, I needed to leave. Overnight, I lost the car we shared, the home we rented (even with my name on it), and any stability we had. In the last three months, his only contributions have been a couple of packs of diapers and some formula.

<div>Right now, my kids and I are staying with my best friend’s father. We are safe, fed, and sheltered — and for that, I am deeply thankful. But without a vehicle, reliable transportation, and our own home, it’s incredibly hard to stay afloat. I’ve been babysitting, walking dogs, and cleaning houses to make ends meet — often bringing my children with me. And just last week, I started a brand-new career in the insurance industry. I haven’t closed my first sale yet, but I’m working every day to build a future for my family.
