<div><strong>There is a family that I support Liberia</strong>. Ben, Victoria, Robert, and Alex all live in a small neighborhood in Paynesville. Ben has an IT degree, but can't get a job because the economy has collapsed in Liberia.

<div>Ben's community is trying to survive by their own means by creating a <strong>community garden</strong>. They just need a big enough<strong> plot of land</strong> to grow their own food. About a dozen families live in this poor neighborhood and they are all very eager for a chance to plant, harvest, and share in this community garden.

<div><strong>What is Needed?</strong>

<div>Because of the seasonal flooding, the vegetable garden area will need to be in a raised bed. This will require some sort of frame of stone or wood. We will also need hoes, rakes, irrigation systems and seeds.

<div>The rice portion of the garden can be dug out to keep it wet for growing rice. The soil removed from that space will help raise the vegetable garden.
</div>

<div>We hope you can help us with a couple of dollars or whatever you can give. We already raised $500 and built a community well that helped people within a 10-mile radius.

Help End Hunger: Donate $1 for a Community Garden

<font color="#333333">Hi friends! The spot we have our bus is no longer available and it looks like we gotta wrap things up and hit the road sooner than expected. We were hoping to leave by summer, so we’re  trying to look at this positively! Texas is looking scarier and scarier and we already wanna put down roots somewhere safer. We have a few ecovillages we wanna look at and emotionally we are very ready to go, but the bus has been parked a while and there’s a bit of work we gotta do to get the bus running to leave. Our landlord is giving us a month and without help I’m not sure if we can meet that deadline. If we can’t make a fair bit to get this fixed we may need to scrap the bus we’ve loved and worked on and leave to build our house at an ecovillage. Either way any money we get will go to setting the foundation for the rest of our lives in a very stressful time. Anything you could gift us would be a massive blessing. I feel bad asking for money, but at the end of the day this is an emergency and a pretty pivotal moment in our lives and anything would help!</font><font color="#333333"><br /></font>

Help a queer couple leave Texas

<div>Hi, I am setting up this fundraiser for Jen Washburn and Shirley. A lot of us have followed Shirley's story and were so relieved when she was found safe. Jen and her family were moving their family and pets across country to a new home. Shirley got out of her crate and jumped out of the trailer and was lost and roaming in extremely cold conditions for 10 days. So many amazing people helped looked for her and she had some rescue angels that eventually captured her and now one of them is fostering her. After she was checked by the vet clinic, it was determined she had a dislocated hip that needs surgical repair. The Vet felt it was better to have this procedure as soon as possible so Becky, her foster mom has offered to take her to her surgery in Memphis and keep her during her recovery. I know Jen and her family want her home as soon as possible, but want to do what's best for Shirley. All these expenses are unexpected and with all the moving costs and an accident with their truck during the move, we thought maybe some folks would like to help them out. Shares and prayers and/or good thoughts would also be appreciated! The money will go to the Vet costs that were paid upfront and the diagnostics (those will be posted here) and for expenses for the foster family and transport home.

Help Shirley get home!

<div>Theo is the best boy. No, really. He is a puffy cloud of love in the world… a walking hug. He is the most incredibly sweet dog I have ever known. On Sunday, 6/25, he was out for a walk when he was attacked by another dog that was off leash, resulting in serious injuries and a pretty big (and obviously unexpected) vet bill.

<div>Thanks in advance for any contribution you are able to make to help us cover these expenses and still pay rent this month. We feel lucky he survived this attack. He is such a core, central part of our family, and we would all be devastated if we suddenly lost him.

<div>The details of what happened to Theo and his treatment: Theo was on a leash (of course) with his dad on a regular walk (which happened to be during the Pride March in Greenwich Village). As they walked past an outdoor table at a restaurant, an off-leash dog jumped out from under the table and attacked Theo without provocation. Without giving brutal details, it was bad and took five adults to get the other dog to let Theo go.

<div>At the emergency vet's office, Theo had to have an immediate surgery under general anesthesia to assess the damage, clean and close the neck wounds, and place a wound drain.  He has multiple puncture wounds as well as a tear that went all the way through the muscle tissue. His skin was also torn apart from the muscle, leaving an air pocket. He got many stitches internally and externally. He is now recovering at home on various medications (pain meds/sedation and antibiotics).  Since he made it through the surgery okay, his biggest risk now is possible infection. He will have additional vet visits to assess the wounds, check the drain, eventually remove the drain (if all goes well) and to remove the external stitches. So far, he seems to be doing really well recovering and will have a minimum two weeks of doggy bed rest and healing.

Help Cover Theo’s Treatment Expenses

His name was Marvin Scott III, my son.<br /><br />Born February 22nd and taken way too soon at the hands of 7 officers on Sunday March 14th. I was notified by text of my son death the FOLLOWING day Monday, March 15th at 2:32PM.<br /><br /><br />He was suspected of smelling like marijuana at an outlet mall in Allen, TX. When police arrived they observed him in apparent mental health distress— so they took him to jail. Not a mental health facility, just jail. In the jail he was sprayed with pepper spray, a spit hood was placed over his head and he was held down with a knee and “restrained to death.”<br /><br /><br />He was 26 and schizophrenic. He needed help. Allen PD &amp; Collin County COs helped him to death. <br /><br /><br />The whole system must change. All of it— starting with accountability.
