A Heartfelt Appeal for My Best Friend 
 
My best friend is Dianne Jolivet, from Houston, Texas, and she is fighting breast cancer with everything she has. 

She didn't ask for this battle. She didn't choose this pain, but she's walking into a mastectomy with more courage than most of us will ever have to find. This will be her 2nd surgery, the 1st being unsuccessful in getting all the cancer. 

What she didn't expect was to fight cancer and financial ruin at the same time. 

Her job will not pay her during her medical leave. 

No income. No safety net. 

Just a stack of bills waiting for a woman who is already fighting for her life. 

She has shown up for others her entire life—with kindness, with generosity, with a heart that never hesitates to help. 

Now she's the one who needs us. 
 
This isn't about charity. 

This is about giving a good woman the chance to heal without fear. 

It's about making sure she can keep her lights on, keep her home, and focus on surviving—not on choosing between medication and rent.
